BBTS put up a preorder for a Voyager Deep Dive this morning due out in January. I don't recall hearing of this before now. Wonder if it's a new mold or just a repaint?

I couldn't find it, could you provide a link?

Anybody has some clear images about it?

Could this be animated Deep Dive Bumblebee?

It's Hydrodrive Dumblebee, so... no.

Probably a repaint of Seaspray, but I'm hopeful it's a new mold.

That would be my first guess as well. Even though "Deep Dive" suggests a submarine, not a surface vessel, I guess the name could still work since the bot mode features swim fins and a head that resembles a SCUBA mask. I'd like to think it's a new mold, one with a submarine alt mode, but it's probably a SS repaint.

It's definitely not the Hydrodive BB, as that figure is not Voyager class.

I would love a figure with a submarine alt mode.

I know it is Voyager Class. The core figure may be Scout-sized, but the total package is Voyager.

A sub would be awesome, but it's most likely a Sea Spray repaint.

Yup. The BB may be a scout sized figure, but that diving jet pack moves it up beyond Deluxe and into Voyager class range and pricing.

So for any filing and categorizing purposes HD BB is Voyager Class.


Back on topic, its most likely a Seaspray recolor. Some nice black and blue with a couple of orange highlights would work.

I see. That makes sense. But I think Deep Dive is more likely to be a Sea Spray repaint.

A submarine character would be really awesome, but unfortunately, it's probably just a Seaspray repaint.

Has there ever been a TF with a Sub' Alt' mode?

From memory I don't think there has. Obviously Seaspray was originally a hover craft and Broadside was an aircraft carrier, However I could so very easily be wrong!

Deep Dive was part of the Cybertron Giant Planet Mini-con Team. Not sure of any other Transformers subs, but Gobots had Dive-Dive.
