Ok so I'd like a scout class Bumblebee to complete my classics collection without it being ridiculously out of scale with my other repurposed minibots e.g Firetrap as Brawn and out of scale with windcharger what do you guys think

It's your collection. If it's what you want then go for it. You don't need our approval. ;)

I meant to say what could be repurposed as Bumblebee

HFTD Oil Pan comes to mind. Scout + yellow.

Other than that, there haven;'t been yellow cars or cars that could pass for classics BB if painted in the scout class.

I've often wondered whether G2 Gobots would be cool repainted as Movie Bumblebee.

Actually if you're going for a Scout size G1 Bumblebee, may I suggest Pretender Bumblebee's inner robot which was also sold seperately.

It's bigger than the original Bumblebee yet slightly shorter than the average Scout or Diaclone which would suit the character. Both sets are close in scale so I can't wait to get Windcharger to put with my G1 Prowl and co.

Pretender Bee has good shoulder articulation and a rifle.

The only thing close to a domestically-released official scout BB would be the Animated Activators version.

Although, Classics Deluxe Bee is pretty short for a deluxe.

He is not a domestic release but you could use the Bumbleebee from the animated Hydrodive Bumblebee. The actual figure is about scout size. Definately smaller than the deluxe.

Actually, Oil Pan is like a burnt orange, and fairly evil looking. I think Dead End is probably the most BB looking ROTF scout. PCC Doubleclutch would work if his mold didn't suck.

If you don't like these examples and have the skills go for it! Maybe use parts from these suggestions.

That's a tough question! If you have really good skill you could find a VW that is the size you want and cut that up to stick on a core robot. Classics BB head is a good sculpt but may be too large.

I was thinking about using a 9cm Volkswagon beetle then cutting the parts up the tough thing is the core body and head sculpt oh dear why can't Hasbro just make us a scout class Bumblebee
