Seibertron member kotoys has got his hand on the highly anticipated old timer Transformers - Generations Kup. Kup is transforms into a pickup truck instead of futuristic vehicle in Generations 1 animation. This deluxe class figure is expected to hit market in January 2011.

For a Generations figure it looks pretty decent and certainly fitting for the character even if it might annoy some people who wanted a more futuristic vehicle like his original toy. If I saw one cheap in a sale then I might pick one up but the character doesn't interest me at all (well I kinda like the old G1 incarnation but the IDW one put me off completely as do most of their characterizations).

Another nigh on perfect figure.
Looks so much better with the wheels tucked behind the shoulders in robo-mode.

I think they mis-named him. "Gumming Kup" would be a better fit, considering they forgot to give him his dentures.

In spite of that, I really like the alt mode and the fact that he's got the gun clip to mount it on his roof. I think the old timer looks good!

Hmm... Alt mode looks slightly worse than I was expecting (too narrow), but the 'bot mode actually looks a lot better than I was expecting. I really like the torso: a great call back to Kup's G1 toy, and I also love the way those front fenders angle together. I don't like the gun that much, and I'm not a big fan of the 3 mm clip system on it, but I can imagine Kup using a 'less sophisticated' gun than newer models...
all in all, it's a must buy, of course.

Wow, I am impressed. Im glad they didnt keep the Cybertron/future vehicle as they look odd on earth. Well done Hasbro.

The head sculpt ruins it for me - he looks like he's just crapped his pants and he's pissed.

That is one sexy old bloke. (I know, I disgust myself.) When the original images were released, I complained that his gun looked stupid. That he'd be better off with a shotgun. Oh snap! Now I see it was a shotgun all along. NICE! I suppose shotguns do go hand-in-hand with pickup trucks. Now, should I get Hasbro and Takara versions and make one a sawn-off. Or should I get two the same and stick them together to make a twin barrelled shotgun. And then turn it in to a sawn-off. Decisions, decisions....

Although I'm definitely gonna pick this guy up, the only thing that gives me the willies is his arms. Too much kibble and his arms look like he broke them while attempting to skateboard.

Think he looks great. :APPLAUSE:

And just give him a couple of new paint jobs and remolded heads and bob's your uncle you could have Trailbreaker and Hoist!

Nice. I like it. The shotgun can used in vehicle mode, in hand and as should cannon. :D I definitely want this figure.

I'd have rather seen Classics Rodimus in the pic than Shattereed Glass Rodimus.

It took so long to get anything G1, and now we finally have Kup. Rather, Sergeant Kup! I love the new look, exactly as I pictured him, an older pickup truck. The gun is nice, but I hope the final product will have a matching clip on the gun instead of the out of place blue clip. :???:

Does anyone else see a stop-motion Transformers reenactment of the scene in Airplane II with Kup as "The Sarge" on the radio telling the boss the shuttle can't fly and then being told to just fix it and send it up followed by "The Sarge" lighting up in front of some fuel canisters, tossing the match into their vicinity, and then, after no explosion, spitting into the vicinity which finally causes the explosion?

If someone can make that happen with the movie voice-over, that would be awesome! ;)^

If someone can make a bunch of Airplane short stop-motion clips with Transformers, that would be even more awesome! There's just so many great bot and con fill-ins for the actors in the scenes. :KREMZEEK:

"Sergeant Kup" ??? Whats up with all these silly add ons to the names ???

I can live with his vechicle mode because it is a truck. At least he keeps the G1 theme well. Blurr was way off but then again I dont read comics.

Battle your enemies with the new "Autobot Kup" action figure! The rubsign reveals whether he's an Autobot or Decepticon (even though the name already gave it away, making the rubsign utterly pointless)!
