Randomly saw Reflector last week

I work at a Honda dealership and this van came in for service. It was a late 20s mom with a 6 or younger-year old. I parked in the deck and as I was getting out I noticed a purple camera in the cup holder. Sure enough it was Reflector.. The fought crossed my mind to leave her 25 bucks (cheap, i know) in the cup holder but then I came to reality and my job is worth more and the fact that it was prolly her husbands toy as a kid that he handed down to his kid. I fiddled with it for a bit. It was a nice one!
Is there anybody in here that would have let there morals slide?

Um, no. I wouldn't even consider stealing, and I don't think most of us here would either. I'm shocked that you would even consider it. Leaving money in no way makes up for taking someone's property without their consent. I would still consider that stealing. Your job shouldn't be the first consideration either, it's just wrong. It would be a different story if you asked her if she'd sell it to you, but to just take it without asking would be terrible, money or no.

Still, you get brownie points to getting back to your senses. If I was in your shoes I'd probably ask her about the toy and what it was doing in the car, nosy git that I am.

I, for sure, would have asked her about it. I probably would have asked if she was willing to sell it.
I wouldn't have taken it though, money or not. That just wouldn't have been right.

Haha, I knew this would raise hairs. It was an underhanded thought. I know there are people out there that wouldn't think twice. I'm in no way condoning it. Nor is that my moral mindset. I just wondered who would admit it.

doubt I'd steal it, but I'd definitely have borrowed it for a little play about before handing back to the parent or even the kid and congratulating them on their fine choice of toys.

I would have just been honest with her and said "I noticed that toy in your cupholder. It's a classic Transformer, and I'm a collector. I'd love to buy it from you if you'd consider selling it." Then offer her a fair price.

I would never have been that cheeky. I know I would be majorly pissed if someone did that to me!

That's how I lost my car's Decepticon Air Freshener. Still heartbroken...

This is where you paid 25 bucks to her for it and found out it was a knock off she'd bought at the little back water toy shop.
Never steal anyhting especially from a child.
Unless your stealing because you will die and have no other means to sustain yourself then stealing is wrong and if your caught you should have your hands cut off.
If I had my way they would bring back the death penalty in this country as a deterant to criminals.

I'd never consider it.
Although I did once haggle a mint G1 Megatron (no accs, but all the joins, chrome and plastic were 100%) down from £7 to £4.

If your not a woman then lucky dude!
Makes my £12.00 shock wave look positively expensive.
Then again I did get a mint in sealed box Soundwave g 1 for £5.00 once

You don't wanna know what Amelie is...

Anyhow, I'm very surprised to see how many people want to actually buy it from her. If that happened to me I'd be freaked out, really, even if I never did collect toys.
