We've been waiting an
ETERNITY for the third Arcee Sister
MOLD, not another cop-out repaint of one of the pre-existing figures. Definite pass.
Seriously Has/Tak, if you want my money for more fembikes, either produce the third mold of the deluxe set, or two more legends molds to combine with the one you've already released.
I don't care which is cheaper or easier for you, just stop trying to play me for a sucker.

The pictures don't really do it justice as far as the color goes. When I checked this figure out at Target a few days ago, that purple/lavender was nowhere near as...overwhelming...as it appears in the picture. In fact, with the lighting in the store I had to really twist the package around just to tell that the entire bike wasn't all black. That must have been one hell of a flash on that camera to make the color stand out that much.
I also have to admit that I'm slightly disappointed that they didn't do a different mold but I'm in no way surprised. This isn't a figure I was all that concerned about getting anyway once I found out that the combiner aspect was out the window. Well, at least until some customizer gets their hands on it anyways.

To reiterate: that's the Japanese version of Elita-1, which uses more accurate colors

The US version is indeed mostly black with purple/pink highlights.

It is. Try looking for them at Target. Be prepared for *groan* another Sideways to go with them.

Looks MUCH better than the Hasbro version. A definite buy along with Takara Sidearm Sideswipe and voyager BB Prime.

Oh dear....even Takara/Tomy can't get the color right. That's a light purple (dare I call it lavender?), not the darker, rich purple of movie Elita-1 or even her Legends version coming out with Chromia, Arcee and deluxe Sideways. *sigh*

Great !!! I wish they would at least repaint Sideways another color. Who ever invented "battle damage" paint apps should be shot.

Well, I can't complain. At least this Sideways actually
looks like Sideways as he did in the movie. Finally we get the black paint apps and a correct Audi R8 "blade" down the side of the vehicle. Plus, he's got the Sideswipe "slice" down the middle. They also colored most of the robot mode in grey with other color details, instead of all solid bright red.

Yea, I kind of have a pile of 'em.
I actually LIKE the repaints of SideSWIPE, they tend to look good, and with the remolds are making a nice army-builder set.
Sideways, on the other hand, goes straight to the parts bin.

I've got Arcee from the original movie line. That's enough for me. I've had to pass on the "sisters".

They took the ugliest mold in the already disappointing Beyformerverse and claimed that it was a combiner. So people went and got 3 of these to which there is no combination! So perhaps if people bought 3 more of these God awful malformed things, it'll combine to form the word "SUCKER".....

Its so hard to decide which version has the most movie accurate paint scheme in robot mode given we only see him in robot mode for 5 seconds in the movie. But I dont like the "slice" in car mode. Maybe Ill just pull out the circle saw and do it right...

Not only that, but its shape and her colors make her look like a robotic Waluigi.

Naturally, since that was a good toy.

It's a little light but at least its purple. What do you end up paying after shipping for a Takara deluxe?

Well, I can't imagine Sideways would be made up of solid bright red parts. And there is a similar version of the new one out now in a Target 2 pack that looks almost the same but lacks the "slice" paint, and has darker robot mode clors to my knowledge. He comes with Skids and Mudflap who combine into the ice cream truck.

I understand why companies reuse molds, based on the cost, but that to me makes sense where the toys look vaguely similar. Drift and Mirage using the same mold isn't a huge deal, as these are different Earth-mode versions of characters. However, in Elita-1's case, this is a completely different motorcycle. The B-King looks nothing like the MV Augusta; it really isn't a matter of just doing a new paint job.

The more of these I see, the more I love my 2007 Movie version of Arcee, the one with a real bot mode. I wish they'd repaint THAT one! I'd buy another.
