Well, Terradive and Tomahawk have been in my area for about 2 to 3 weeks and dont really like the look of Tomahawk, but i really like Terradive, but theres seems to be arising QC issues with him, like lose ball joints of the legs, hips and how his chest snaps together and some with his Trident weapon. So, I'm having a hard time deciding to pick him up or not. Can anyone out there give me some positive feedback about Terradive so i can pick him up and have him in my good graces?

If you enjoy transforming you figs, get him. He has a really fun transformation. And he looks pretty cool, too. I'm not the biggest fan of his head, but the rest of him is so awesome, I don't mind. I say get Terradive and skip Tomahawk, whose only above average aspect is his alt mode.

If you have to choose, i say terradive. He looks awesome, and you cant go wrong with trident weapon.

Glad you ask because that's my question too, despite I haven't seen Terradive yet but passed Tomahawk already. I don't like Terradive's head either but the rest looks nice. Don't know why but he reminds me so much of Cybertron Sideways. So I think I will pick him up.

Actually i dont mind Terradive's head sculpt, and come to think of it, it reminds me of
StarWars Bounty Hunter Cad Bane! in which, thats what i would use Terradive for a bounty hunter in my Transformers Universe.

i have him and i love him
sometimes he can be touchy on his hand area because of the rotation in transformeation but you can snap it back on and you got him fixed
i love the trident which is part of the reason why i got him
although sometimes if it just sits up sometimes in spear mode the blades will stick out some, but all u have to do is push the base back up and it stays
i dont have tomahawk yet but if i were u i would get him too. he looks like an awsome figure. something looks like its missing if u dont have tomahawk with terradive
bottom line: terradive is a wonderful figure and i suggest strongly that u get him along with tomahawk

I really like Terradive, especially in alt' mode. With that head design as well, I actually think he looks a little bit like a Lithonian.

I picked both of these up and have been very happy with both of them. Tomahawk is made well and has a non-bay look. Terradive looks more like a movie character but could pass as a nonmovie character as well. I think he has an alsome alt mode and cool robot mode. He does have some transformation issues but nothing major. I only real complaint I have is the weapon. WTF? Its a staff? And it does really fit into his hand. Other than that Terradive is a good toy and so is Tomahawk. You should give him a chance too!

Just got both of them tonight, actually, and Terradive is a much better fig.
Terradive:
Loose balljoints on the hip can be fixed with the nail polish / superglue trick, the articulation is excellent (except for lack of an upper leg swivel), he's remarkably stable on his feet (thanks to the wings on the side of his legs), and a standard 4mm peg opening in his hands means that he can hold almost any other figure's weapon(s) if the trident bothers you.
Oh, and finally, if the head bothers you, it coincidentally uses the same size balljoint as the "combiner mode" head from whassisname, the Aerialbot commander from the PCC line. Paint the opaque blue plastic as black, and it looks a LOT better - and the design details fit the figure as well! I knew I kept that head from my broken fig for a reason...
Tomahawk:
Really nice helicopter mode, but his robot mode looks a bit... hollow. And then with his massively thick Popeye arms, his robot mode looks a lot poorer at a front-on view than the 3/4 view. His feet are large enough for stable posing, and he has decent articulation (less arm articulation than Terradive, and no thigh swivel, but otherwise okay). Having his missile launchers have both 4mm pegs AND the new clip system is a nice touch, as his launchers can now be put on his forearms (or tail in vehicle mode). A decent figure, certainly better than some 2007 TFTM figs (I'm looking at you, Payload and the other drones), but not as good as Terradive.

I saw both of these at the store recently, and I think they are both a fairly easy pass for me. I think they both look pretty sound in both modes, but neither are really my cup-o-tea. Terradive is Star Wars crossover to me, and Tomahawk is a helicopter. Since I don't like the crossover vibe or the helicopter alt mode, both will stay on the shelf as far as I am concerned.

Star Wars crossover? Do WHAT?
It's based on a real-world plane, not a Star Wars space fighter, the SU-47 Berkut:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-47Berkut means "Golden Eagle", so even the colors are good in an "Air Show" way.

Tomahawk is pretty cool, but I passed on Terradive. I do intend to get the repaint if the colors look good though. Tomahawk does have a thigh swivel, it's between the black part that holds the ball joint and the main thigh piece.
