Transformers Toy Insider
S250 has posted some scans from the Transformers: Generations 2010 book over at
TFW.
Of particular note is the overview of upcoming United figures, including the first shots of Track's Hood Deco, a more G1-accurate Wreck-Gar, and many minor tweaks to other figures.

Either way it goes, I'm buying the Perceptor with chrome. That toy's too perfect not to own

So, I was hoping to cancel most of United, but I'm keeping:
"Goldbug" Bumblebee
Straxus
Tracks
Wreck Gar
Jazz
Perceptor
Lugnut
Kup
Wheeljack
I think I can safely get rid of Scourge, G2 Prime, and I don't like the yellow head on Grapple.
I'm back on the fence about Blurr.

Animated freakin Metroplex FTMFW. Its an aircraft carrier on treads, man. Takara - get on it! May I suggest a "build a figure" in scale with Jetfire and Jetstorm.

Judging by the "Other Autobots" section, they're getting more episodes/seasons of Animated than we in the U.S./Canada got?

Jazz surprises me, I kinda thought the white would be a lot brighter, and is Perceptor chromed or not, the pic makes it look like it's just white.
Tracks's hood paint was pretty much expected, but I think it will be cheaper to just get the eventual reprolabel for that.
Wreck-gar looks good, but just not budget busting good.
And no rubsigns on these, huh?

Yup, no unsightly rubsigns.
Some people think that Tracks will feature the metalic paint/plastic like Animated figures in Japan, that might be nice.
Look carefully, I think Jazz has chromed feet.

Grandus.

Chromed feet are nice, but if that's the only difference I'll stick with Generations.
The more I look at them, the more I like the flames on Wreck-gar, and I can't tell if they are there in the United version.
I am also surprised that Scourge doesn't look any different. I'm kinda relived, as I really can't put up the scratch for United versions.
I may be the only person that thinks G2 Prime looks like ass. I'll keep my Laser Prime.
All in all, I would really like for some side by sides of these, we had too few side by sides of henkei with classics/universe until it was much too late to get them at reasonable prices.

Scourge, G2 Prime, and Wheeljack are still using their US stand-ins as best I can tell. Those are not necessarily the Takara versions.

I do kind of hope for a better United Scourge so we can have the generations ones being the Sweeps. I plan on getting a couple of the Cyclonuses from the Battle in Space two pack as his Armada. My sons get the Universe one, and Scourge get's universe Nightstick.
I almost don't want a bright white Wheeljack, I knida want him to be a bit grey and dirty looking. Fits the character better.

No you're not. Give the original a G1 colour scheme, ignore the trailer and pop him in a Voyager class, and I'll gladly shed the cash.

Looks like Wreck-Gar's head and arms are significantly different. Pre-ordered him and Tracks. Thought I was safe on these Generations/United differences.

CURSE YOU TAKARA! Tracks hood deco is obviously so much better, as is Perceptor's alt mode. I think that is indeed United Jazz, as he has painted wheels. If he has painted taillights, we cannot tell. Wheeljack may be the same, and I actually prefer Hasbro's colors for Wreck-gar, even if it's less G1 toy-accurate. Although, Hasbro's has that unpainted waist piece...
Actually, curse you Hasbro for not using these paint apps in the first place.

Dangit... now I really have to think about which of these I really want/can afford.
Oh yeah....I spy an MP Rodimus Matrix!

Indeed, thanks. Perhaps an homage - or I'm overtly imaginative...
