ROTF/NEST Bludgeon Conversion Toughness

I searched the forums a bit about the transformation of the tank version of Bludgeon from ROTF. He's tight-fitting, but what gets me is his left-hand side pelvis: I can't get it to lock into place. The right side one locks in fine, but the left one has issues. I don't want to apply too much force in fear of snapping the joint between his pelvis and the "spine". I already tried pretty hard to snap it into place but like I said I don't want to try too hard!
I think it may be related to a clip split in the middle, but I'm not exactly sure.
Any one else have this issue with this transformer?
Thanks.

Can't say that I have. Both sides snap into place pretty well for me. Not sure if it's an issue on all the figs or just a few. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Mine are a little loose. If I want to twist his thigh to pose him the hips pop out. Do you actually think something has broken?

I haven't opened my Bludgeon yet, but I haven't noticed this issue with my Banzai-Tron.

I'll try to get a digital photo up soon to illustrate better as to what I am talking about. There is a tab which the pelvis is supposed to lock on to on the big part that flips the entire leg assembly. I think that's the culprit.
