what is the worst figure u have gotten that has terrible quality control on it
mine would be universe/classics prowl

the agin another would be my first ROTF deluxe ratchet open box side door panel falls out (the ones that end up on his waist)
then face palm and transform for the heck of it snap other comes off easily
throw across room walk away facepalming

2nd one no prob at all

Hmm, no one figure sticks out too much, but I've got a bunch of recent figures that all have loose hip joints. Unless they're standing up almost completely straight, one leg will slide out and the figure falls over.

Annoying...

There's a difference between QC and mold degradation.

E-hobby UM not surprising. The "Optimus" mold is simply too overused. Same with Encore Bruticus.

As for QC........Universe Dirge,Piranacon re-issue.

Universe Galvatron

I got a transmetal BW Megatron whose robot arm snapped off the first time I transformed him and it wasn't on any of the gold parts.

YES! I absolutely hate this toy. No, it's not even a toy, its a piece of crap. It's putrid. I was so excited when I first got it, I thought it was a great mirror of G1 Prowl, every thing was acurate, but I took the toy out of the package and it just pissed me off. The paint rubs off, the pieces break off, the transformation is stupud, the limbs are stiff as hell, the arms are short as hell, and to top it all off, like putting a cherry on a pile of crap, is that he can't stand up. Worst TF ever. I actually made a review of it that never made it on the internet. I cursed at the toy, I threw it, shot it, stomped it, banged my head against a wall, and flicked off the camera so hard that the world exploded, but I never put it up. Really, I put actual fottage of earth exploding in the video, but I never uploaded it.

ROTF Sideways. His parts are all floppy and his legs always come off during Transformation, plus he has flimsy plastic to top it off. Another would be Interrogator Barricade. The pegs that hold the rear quarter panels/sides on broke off and now they don't secure all the way. His legs are also flimsy and his feet come off too. Then there's ROTF Sideswipe whose paint is chipping off and has flimsy plastic.

Universe Cyclonus

1st one I bought had an ear that was molded 1/3 shorter than the other.

I thought that Uni Sideswipe was similar until I realized that his head is not symmetrical.


And my 1st Uni Prowl has two right forearms.

WFC Soundwave. The left elbow joint was fitted with a smaller sized hinge pin, making it flop like a limp noodle. The panel that covers his head in alt mode was also scratched.

This was the first TF where I had to buy a second copy of.

The ONLY ones I had problems with the QC of:

1 ) PCC Arialbots, the whole set. The plastic is worse than knockoff quality.

2 ) TFTM Payload. Utterly HORRIBLE in every respect, especially QA.

Classics Starscream: 2 lauchers of the same side
TF Collection Soundblaster: Ravage had 2 missiles of the same side
Animated Blitzwing: Helmet incomplete on one side, must have ran out of plastic in the mold

The worst offender: Henkei Thundercracker. The KO is tempting, if only because it's supposed to be higher quality.

Honorable mentions
Titanium Ultra Magnus: Right arm has a weird burn mark on it, and it's a little loose.
Animated Waspinator: Major, major gouge on the wasp face/ chest shield.
Classics Rodimus: Several paint chips on the wheels and on chest.
Universe Sideswipe: Gash on face - fixed that one with a silver sharpie, thankfully
Generations Red Alert: Big scratches on hood

I 100% agree with this link.
It is the most disappointing TF purchase i've ever made but the plus is getting all the bells and whistles that come with it.
The QC pissed me off so much on this figure that i immediately went on ebay to start buying the originals. It's cheaper to by the originals now without the weapons and what not but it's still the BBTS piranacon that ranks as the worst TF purchase i've ever made.

Henkei Starscream: Mine came with 2 upper left leg parts, so the right knee bends towwards his front.

Henkei Galvatron: Missing the little cap tingy on top of his left arm/shoulder.

SE-02 Universe Megatron: left arm pops off very easily during transformation and plastic feels weak.

Challenge at Cybertorn Galvatron: I can't put his turret back into place in tank mode. I have both Classics and Henkei Galvatron and I have no problems with whatsoever (in terms of transformation).

ROTF Leader Class Megatron: The eletronics are all glitched out on mine (lights flicker no matter wich button is activated with no sounds) Also a small piece inside his waist/crotch area joining the legs broke off during transformation, this piece is supposed to activate the transformation sound (this isn't related to the electronic glitches).

Universe Dinobot: Missile launcher doesn't work.

Costco Exclusive Battle Ops Bumblebee: for an exclusive figure mine's riddled with too many paint blemishes and scratches.

Trans-scanning Bee. The mid section is badly split making his waist VERY wobbly.

Amazingly, even though I'm one of those people for whom nearly everything goes wrong as often as possible, I haven't really suffered anything worse than a loose ball joint, and those aren't common either.

Animated Samurai Prowl.

After opened, tried to attach the side car. Couldn't fit. Push a little bit harder, got stress mark on the side car.

Transformed Prowl, hip joints were super loose and always bow 90 degrees to me.

Fixed the loose hip joints and then put the armor on. Too heavy for him and he started bowing to me again.

Sold him.

Second one is USD Overkill. Same loose hip joints issue. After super glue on the ball joints, the legs started to pop out easily.

ROTF Scalpel: from the 6 sockets of the the legs' ball joints, 4 arrived cracked from the factory. The 5th one I cracked myself when re-attaching one of the legs.

The only way I found to keep my Scalpel standing was to glue the 5 cracked ball joints. It works, but it doesn't transform anymore
