All the stores ive been to lately either have wave 1, wave 3, or both 1 & 3 of the two packs but i have yet to see wave two, was there a problem with wave two and hasbro didnt release them or were they just under shipped? Ive seen the 5 packs from all 3 waves just not the 2 packs so there has to be something up.

Are you talking specifically about the 2-packs? Which ones are Wave 2? I don't think I've seen anything other than Huffer, Searchlight, and Smolder locally.

I have these 5-packs, all bought at retail:

Bombshock / Combaticons
Skyburst / Aerialbots
Double Clutch / Rallybots
Mudslinger / Destructicons

I've also started to see Crackcase / Destrons showing up.

Leadfoot with Pinpoint, Sledge with Throttler, and Icepick with Chainclaw are wave 2. When they first showed up in my area, only one store had them and only one of each one. I was lucky enough to get all three, because it was another two months before I saw any more.

They are shipping out, but scarcely compared to 1 and 3, so you must remain vigilant.

We have just been getting them in the Philly area in the last week or two, for some reason we are way behind oneverything. I found them in 3 or 4 places in the Exton area, but only at Kohls, Boscov's and the like, none at TRU, Target, Walmart.

Grimstone and the Constructions were in Exton this week too, so we are finally catching up to the rest of the country. I'm not sure why we are in a two month behind area, for as much population.

I've noticed something similar at my local Wal-Marts. Lately I've suspected Wal-Mart of shipping out merchandise using Last In, First Out. It makes me wonder if this will be the new norm in the future.

I was kinda wondering the same thing myself about the 2-packs.

I have seen them, but only very recently and only at one particular Wal-Mart.

It was a poorly distributed wave. I've only seen them at Wal Mart supercenters and Khols.

What actually happens with these poorly distributed waves of product?

Does Hasbro underproduce?
Does Hasbro not ship them and has warehouses full of product just collecting dust?
Does Hasbro ship them to stores who keep them in THEIR warehouses collecting dust?

These distribution problems happen again and again across many different product lines, and you have to wonder why the ball keeps getting dropped, who is to blame, and why no one ever learns?

I don't know much about retail, but it seems to me that whenever a new line launches, the stores buy way too much of the first wave, and then never order the later waves because they're overstocked on the first wave.

That may be true, and I seem to remember that being an especially big problem for the distribution of Energon toys several years ago. But, again, why don't retailers learn if it bites them in the butt again and again? Why doesn't Hasbro release more unique products at the initial launch to maintain greater diversity on the shelves? Or better yet, why doesn't Hasbro limit the quantities shipped on the first waves?

Tesco in Europe has a lot of them.

That's sounds pretty accurate, judging from what I've seen from my local stores...

I didn't have that problem actually the wal mart in my town is awesome i picked up highbrow, the fallen, all 3 wave2 pcc 2 packs, all the wfc that is released megatron soundwave optimus bumblbee, also have dirge thust
rea alert and blurr and last all the hftd waves out so far

Well good for you, tell the store to ship some to the rest of us or show our stores how things are suppose to be done. I found generations Thunderwing,Cliffjumper, and HFTD Teradive but still no Sledge,Icepick, or Leadfoot, even checked kohls and nothing.

Yeah, I've seen waves 1-4 of the 5 packs and 1 and 3 of the 2 packs, but never wave 2. I got the ones I wanted off HTS with a discount code. Supposedly they were sighted Kohls in my area, but I never checked.

You may find some at Kohl's. I found Leadfoot and Sledge there. I have also never seen wave 2 besides there, and that goes for HFTD too. I don't know what's going on here...wave 1 is nearly gone everywhere but there are no restocks. All pegs/shelves are going empty.

It's always the stores fault. The Dallas area has the opposite problem: wave 2 5-packs are shelfwarming (!), and wave 3 barely came in. The 2-packs are few and far inbetween.

We're still waiting for wave 2 anything in my area. There are only traces of wave 2 five packs showing up, but that's about it.

I forgot that my local Kohls has multiple PCC Wave 2 2-packs figs (I saw them today). I can hook you guys up if you want them.
