Does anyone know when and where this is being released. I missed both Hot Rod, and Cyclonus. And don't want to make the same mistake twice.

It's being released at retail, but I'm not sure if all stores that carry TFs will have it, or if it's a store exclusive. For some reason, I'm thinking maybe it's a Target exclusive, but I won't swear to that. Also, I think it's supposed to be out in December or January. If I'm wrong, hopefully someone who knows what they're talking about will correct me.

i was thinking it was for january...but as a warning its the same pieces from challenge at cybertron. so the cyclonus is the greatest yet but the hot rod is kinda cheap looking even if he is more g1 accurate

I don't care, I just want that set. I'd like the japanese set with Galvatron buy thats too much money.

If it's a Target exclusive, why is it listed in the Reveal the Shield catalog, without a store no less? Usually store exclusives are featured on store exclusive cross sells.

I strongly believe this is going to be this year's version of the Bumblebee/Soundwave two pack from last year.

I hope so, cause I want a couple of them and I don't want to have to go paying an arm and a leg for it. If they are like the BB/Soundwave pack they will go on sale at some point! My Armada will be HUGE!!!! Add that to the RtS Sweeps, and I'll hae to have a seprate "Minions of Unicron" shelf!

Wasn't there technically only 2 Cyclonus models in the movie? I just have the regular classics and the Challenge at cybertron set. I don't think you ever need more than two...lol And only four sweeps total...im just wiating to see what the United paintjob is.

An animation error replaced the second Cyclonus (fan-coined "Armada") with the fourth Sweep.

Ok so as far as i know in the movie there was Cyclonus and one more decepticon of his style. And then Scourge and 3 others like him. Are you saying its supposed to be 3 and 3?

If you pay close attention, after the reformatting we have Galvatron, 2 Cyclonus, and 3 Scourges. However, in the scene with them flying off with their new ship, we suddenly have 1 Cyclonus and 4 Scourges! That animation error is well known, and even replicated in stop motion.

ahh ok i get it now. So i only need 3 scourges and my force will be complete.

Well, it was originally intended for Cyclonus to have many copies as well, but as you know history played out different. That said, kitbashing and repaint enthusiast rejoice.

Also, 2 pages in and nobody has asked if the Matrix that it comes with can be held by Hot Rod? This is madness.

No, seriously, does anybody know if this Matrix can be held by Hot Rod, or even Classic Prime?

I know it is the matrix from the New Year's Convoy set.

If that's the case, then your single Galvatron will undergo stasis lock once it sees your wall of Roddimuses shelf, with enough Matrices to recreate the "Swindle, Swindle, and Swindle" shop. Meanwhile any Unicron toys you may have will simply eat themselves to death in a misguided attempt of self-preservation.

I dunno, I think I can find something to do with Roddy. (Just kidding, I am only getting 2 "Armadas", and I'll keep one Roddy and give the other to my kids).

I was wondering the exact same thing.

Either way, I can't wait for this set. I have it on Preorder just in case. I'm sure we won't get it early in Canada anyway.
