Problems contacting Hasbro for spare parts

And if anyone here is also from Australia any help would be appreciated....

I tried to email Hasbro about some problems I have had with 2 of the transformers I have bought.

Today a parcel arrived and it was the one my friend sent me from the USA which she did for my xmas gift. However one part is missing from the product.

Tried to contact Hasbro and the account I set up a week or two back seems to have been removed and deleted. Their online chat support is useless as you can't get an agent even when the sites says it's available.

Anyway I am missing the missile from my set so how would I get a replacement?

You won't have any luck getting them to supply you with a replacement part. About the only thing they will offer to do, if you actually get in contact with them, is offer an equal value replacement figure. There is no assurance the replacement figure will be the same one either, it will just be of equal value. So you may send them a defective Terradive only for them to send you a Tuner Mudflap since they are both deluxe figures.

Hasbro customer service will screw you over.

They are as clumbsy as they are stupid.

Sorry man, you're in a bad spot with no real relief.

Exactly. Where Mega Bloks has the most caring and accommodating customer service I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, Hasbro has by far the worst and most apathetic. Nowhere is the modern business attitude of "screw 'em, there's more where he came from" more evident than at Hasbro's "consumer service" department.

Well, actually, most credit card and cable/satellite tv companies have the same attitude, but that's beside the point.

You shall not get your parts, I'm afraid. :-(

Hasbro doesn't really carry spare Transformer parts, BUT there might be another way.

When I bought Commemorative 20th Anniversary Prime for $30 on sale off Amazon.com, he was missing the matrix. Amazon.com ran out of Prime's shortly after mine arrived, so I returned it to Hasbro's customer service and got the full refund of about $70. Once I got my check from Hasbro's customer service, I ordered a second prime off someone else's web site.

So, you might be able to send the toy to Hasbro Customer Service and ask for a refund and then order the one you want.

Which parts are you missing? I think you're more likely someone here will have a spare and help you out than Hasbro. That's how I got the right missile launchers for Generations Thrust.

Ah I am missing the missile that comes with Skids.. Everything else was there, the Arcee bike, Mikaela figure but no missile. It's actually in the grand scheme of things not an issue but just the fact that part wasn't in the box I find annoying.

As for the person that said Mega Bloks was good try buying the HALO vehicles. I bought two different sets and both had missing parts....Still haven't received my replacement parts. Was supposed to take 6 weeks but it's been like 10 weeks now.

Did you go on line or did you use the 1-800 number? I find that the latter works best, and if you do ask for Verna, who is the best person there. I agree with you about the sets-3 out of 5 MB sets will have a missing or malformed part, but the company does make good on it, even if it takes some time. In the case of some badly back-ordered parts, MB actually sent me 5 (yes five!) new crispy sealed kits containing the parts I was requesting, so even though it took a while to fix my bum Neo-Shifters it worked out quite well in the end.

Persistence is also key. Don't be shy about checking up on your parts order every couple of weeks or so. Back orders sometimes become a problem and can delay an order for a long time. I have needed many many parts replacements over the years from MB and they have fulfilled each and every one of them. You might want to sign up on the Bloks Forum and have a word with the guy there who works at MB. He can make things happen or advise you if (and i repeat IF) all else fails. :D

Yeah, I'm in the U.S, so we call 1 800 465 6342. My bad, I should have looked at your screen name and at least SUSPECTED UK. #-o

I take it that different people are handling the UK Megabrands issues there, and they're not very good at it?

Actually I'm in Australia..... And the people handling the product here are the kind of people you hve to ring 3 times just to make sure you have gotten your order in the quueue to be processed........ They're kind of bad.

But at the end of the day it's only a little plaastic missile so I won't lose sleep over it.
