Car mode of Special Ops Jazz?

So, does anyone know what real-world car is closest to Special Ops Jazz's car mode? Or is it just something Hasbro kludged by reshaping the original Porsche 935 alt mode?

It is a Porsche, mostly, but the front is from a Pontiac Solstice. Correct: Movie Jazz' car mode

To me I can't find any Porsche in the alt-mode. I think it looks more like an amalgamation of a Nissan 370Z Coupe Touring Sport and a DMC Solstice Coupe Concept. The shape of the body really resembles the 370Z though.

Does anyone care?

Seriously, does anyone leave this figure in car mode so it's beached whale look with the amazing all white rear end just pleases the eye?

Hasbro destroyed a possible epic figure with this one.

I opened mine up and transformed to robot mode which is where he is staying.

Are we allowed to care? Isn't that the reason why someone created this thread?

Wow... hate, much?

SO Jazz is probably one of the best Deluxes out right now. Your claiming its alt mode, which isn't much different at all from many vehicles on the road, ruins it is... well, unfathomable to me. Not when there's garbage like Doubleclutch out there.

He looks kind of Viperish to me, Chibi Dodge Viper if you will. I dig the car mode, more than the robot mode.

IMO, he's a Solstice in front, and a Porche Carerra at the back.

My only complaint is that he's missing paint apps in the tail lights.

3.8TransAm, double and triple posting like you have done not in line with the forum rules. Refrain from doing that in the future. Your two "extra" posts have been deleted.

As far as your opinion is concerned, you have as much right as anyone else to have a particular opinion on the matter. However, the toy comes packaged in it's alt mode, so you had all the opportunity in the world to pass it up. You knew what you were buying, so deal with it.

It doesn't really matter to me which car he turns into, I think he looks cool, and similar enough to G1 to recognize, and that's enough for me. But I don't begrudge people that are more into cars than I am trying to figure out which ones Jazz most resembles. It may not matter to me, but I still find the speculation to be interesting reading, thanks guys.

Actually, I'm doing it because I'm kinda odd about that. Scale doesn't (usually) matter to me, I don't care if a good figure ever appears in the fiction or not, and I have Animated on the shelf above the TFTM and ROTF figures. But when an alt mode is real(istic), I'd like to know what it's closest to. :)

To me it's a cross between the Solstice, the Lotus Elise, and the 370 Z. Of course Hasbro couldn't make it look exactly like any actual vehicle. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be sued by Porsche, GM, Nissan, or Lotus....

And by the way, I think Jazz looks awesome in both modes......but to each his (or her) own.......

Didn't mean to double or triple post, Comcast has been quite literally crap lately for internet after the entire Midwest dump last week, we lost a good chunk of service in Nw In and my internet was working barely if at all, it explains the double post :D

Not being a hater per se of the figure. Generation/RTS stuff is the first new line I have bought of Transformers in its entirety since G1.

The figure itself is phenominal, but they wrecked what would have been a perfect figure because of complete lack of anything on the rear in vehicle mode. No windows, tail lites, plate, even the exhaust is white lol. There isn't a person on here who thinks Hasbro didn't drop a dookie on us for finishing the back of Jazz(or the complete and utter lack of it.

Gen/RTS, is a kick ass line and I think it royally sucks and is a disservice to fans when they just completely drop the ball on something so glaringly apparent.

I don't think that. Frankly, I hadn't really noticed lack of that stuff on the back. Guess I usually look at the front.

I am sure Reprolabels will indeed fix that with a future set.
