Who is BotCon 2010 Cindersaur supposed to be tributing?

Being a weird repaint guy, I love the colors on BotCon 2010 Cindersaur. But I looked into all the versions of Cindersaur and his Firecon buddies, and none of them are blue! Who is he supposed to be tributing?

To be exact, a figure that was never planned to begin with. Both G2 Firecons share the same solid plastic color, only their translucent parts are different.
