The Transformers Animated cartoon series has been concluded for quite sometime, there are some toys or character's figures that never see the daylight. However, since Takara Tomy has adopted the Transformers Animated for Japanese viewers, some of the unreleased toys are managed to hit the market. Two of them are Wingblade Optimus Prime & Jetpack Bumblebee, as Hasbro has never, no plan or not yet release them until today.

Wingblade Optimus Prime - This is essentially a Voyager Class TFA Optimus Prime, but in crystal clear form plus additional flying parts.






Jetpack Bumblebee - Bumblebee received a brand new mold for this figure, plus additional add on. He is slightly smaller than the normal Deluxe Class Bumblebee before putting on his gears. Seems like all the Autobots are keen to fly in order to combat with the Decepticons.

FYI ... these pieces CAN'T attach to the deluxe class version. I watched the video that Peaugh posted on Youtube, and he was able to cobble together the pieces so that it stayed temporarily, but it was a failed attempt with my pieces to get them to stay on in any fashion. The slightest movement of the figure knocked the pieces off, so I felt that it wasn't fair to post a few pictures of the pieces attached and have someone misunderstand from the photo that it worked that way.

From what I have gathered, Hasbro was going to remold the deluxe class figure to work with these pieces. Knowing that, I can't help but wonder how remolding the figure would've been any more cost effective than using the Voyager class figure ... unless it's just because the deluxes are a more successful pricepoint than the Voyager class. Either way, it looks much better on the Voyager class figure.

Unfortunate for me that I can't get these for now. Moreso that I wouldn't have any space to display them either.

Optimus has been on the top of the list of things to order in the new year but I was unaware that Bumblebee was and entirely new mold. Now I must by him! And I shall call him Goldbug.
