How to differentiate Generations Scourge form the Sweeps

Okay, with G Scourge on the horizon and our Classicverse Heralds of Unicron nearing completion, I was wondering how everyone else was planning to keep Scourge stand out from the Sweeps. I'm only planning on having two Sweeps and I plan to make them identical to each other.

Here's what I was thinking:
For Scourge, paint his eyes (accurately) red and have his weapons pods open to be large wings.

The Sweeps would have their Decepticon symbol removed, keep the inaccurate dark blue eyes and keep the weapons pods closed. I may or may not decide to make some kind of Sweeps faction symbol later.

What you you guys think?

Sounds good. Exactly how many are you going to buy?

United Scourge as Scourge and 3 Generations Scourges as Sweeps.
Oh damn, I just realised that it's an expensive idea.

Give Scourge 3-pack Cyclonus' targetmaster.

The remolds looking to be Senator Ratbat. Or Leozack. So probably Ratbat!

Three total, Scourge and two Sweeps just like the reformatting scene.

It would be silly for them not to do some small Sweep variant at some point, but I doubt we'll see it for a while. Thus I've decided to use Scourge as Scourge and the Botcon Sweeps as his army.

Botcon Scourge will find another home somewhere.

ive got 2 Gen Scourge and a United Scourge on preorder. Im just hoping the difference is noticable. Id imagine taking off some of the paint features on the sweeps is the best way

Interesting ideas, but since they were originally identical to Scourge anyway, I'd keep them identical. I'd still like to see how people eventually customize them, though.

Well, the Botcon Sweeps had not only a different pant job, but also they had numbers on their chest (I think). I'm sure a Hobby store can supply some numbers to tempo graph on the figures, so that is solution. However, I did just pick up Armada/Cyclonus from the battle in set 2-pack, so the Targetmaster idea is a simple solution.

ill probably just use my titanium scourge as the leader and build from there. as bad as his posability is hes different yet similar enough to fill the spot.

This was my plan as well. Not too crazy of a plan, money-wise. I may only pick up two for the armada though. We'll see how crazy I feel about the mold once it's in hand. It does look as exciting and fun to me as Cyclonus was, if not more so. He's got all sorts of hide-away stuff I really think is neat.

I'm still thinking sombreros are the best way to go.

No, they did not in fact have numbers on them but you're not the first to think that for some reason. They were different from Scourge but identical to each other.

Scourge and the Sweeps looked identical in the movies and Season 3, so I'm just getting 3 Scourge figures. I had also thought of giving Scourge a Targetmaster as well. I have Henkei Cyclonus, Universe Cyclonus, and I'm thinking of getting the 2-pack as well, so I'll have several to choose from.
