Replacing some stolen Optimii

Recently, my house was broken into, and among the items the thieves took were two of my transformers.

I lost my Revenge of the Fallen leader class Optimus Prime, and my 20th anniversary Optimus Prime. (i.e. the U.S. version of Masterpiece Optimus.)

What is the easiest, cheapest way to replace these figures? I still have all the accessories for Masterpiece Optimus except the Matrix. (it was in his chest at the time of theft.) And I still have RotF Optimus's feet. (I found them in the kitchen. They must have fallen off as the thieves bumped into something somewhere.)

I do not want to get the HftD Leader class Optimus as I hate his battle damage, hooks, and ugly mouth.

I wouldn't mind upgrading to the Japanese Masterpiece Optimus that came with the trailer.

I know the obvious answer is Amazon or Ebay, but I was hoping someone here might know of a much cheaper way to replace them. The prices I saw there made my wallet cry.

Also, If anyone has seen a RotF Optimus for sale anywhere that is missing his feet, I would very much like to know, as it could help the investigator to find some of the other stolen items.

Thanks.

That's interesting they would steal toys. Nabbing it for their kids? Or were they super scalpers? Either way what a bunch of a-holes to do that to you.

Ask Counterpunch about toys being stolen. He had a ton of stuff swiped, but I don't think he lost any TF's. In fact, he wrote an article on insuring your collections a while back.

As for replacing them, it's going to be tough. You can usually get a MP Prime on ebay without accessories if you are patient, there is one up at least once or twice a month with the listing title of "Transformer" or "Truck" or something like that in stead of "Optimus Prime MP", but you have to wade through all the listings looking for it. Best of luck, and sorry for your loss!

My biggest fear for my TF's from my house being broken into isn't theft, but vandalism. I can see a thief going into my collection room and just trashing everything to be an a-hole.

I'm sorry to hear of our plight, and I know how you feel.

A long time ago, 10 years to be exact, I was owner of what is now rare import Japanese video games. I owned back then a Sega Saturn, PSX, and an Asian Dreamcast before Dreamcast was available in the USA. During this time I had acquired some imports that even in 2000 had become rare. One night I decided to take my Dreamcast with me to a friends house with all my Dreamcast imports, but I left all the rest at home. When I returned the only thing that was left was my TV because they couldn't get it through the back window.

If you look up the price of Radiant Silvergun for Sega Saturn now, it's ridiculous. I got the game in '99 when it was only $54 and hardly wanted. The cheapest you can get that game is about $150.

It was an inside job and ;til this day I was told to let it go. Sometimes though karma can be a bitch.

Since then I have more than I can handle at times as far as stuff is concerned. I justr be careful who I let in my house since that happened.

You will get your stuff back and then some. Those jerks will pay!!!

I feel so bad for you man. That shouldn't have to happen to anyone.
But really the best places to look for your anniversary Prime are Amazon and eBay. I rarely see them go for less than $80.00 USD though. And don't worry about your ROTF leader too much either. Kmart.com still has him (and it seems people have actually received this one after ordering). YaHobby.com has him for $41.99 in stock. I've found him at various places though.
