DOTM Ironhide on eBay, with a couple better pictures!

TFW2005 has just posted an eBay auction of the new DOTM Ironhide toy, along with some better pictures. Here's the eBay auction, and here are the pics:

I didn't like the new Ironhide at first, but now it's starting to look pretty good to me, aside from that huge gun, which is actually kind of cool looking, but is just too big. I hope he'll be able to have the guns from previous Ironhides attach to his arms.

Oh, and sorry if this was already posted. I looked and didn't find anything about it,

Is this guy even permitted to do this?

And I'll bet this thing will go for a crazy amount of money even though it'll be released in several months for retail price.

^It's already at $71.00, for a figure that will most likely sell for under $25.00 in stores. As for whether or not the guy's allowed to sell it or not, it's probably illegal, but that never seems to stop people from selling protoypes on auction sites. According to TFWiki, Hasbro doesn't seem to take action against it very often, the main time they did being when prototypes of Botcon 2008 exclusives were stolen and put on eBay. See the TFWiki article for more information.

Gosh...someone is really willing to pay over three times retail price just so they can say they have the prototype and they got to have the toy first, or because they have no patience for the toy to be released...when everyone else will go out and buy the thing for $20.00 USD on May 16th.
And of course people will keep doing this as long as there are people dumb enough to pay a small fortune for a toy to make the seller a little richer.

That cannon looks like an arm. A shame that the only apparent connection point is in the middle (I doubt the little nubs on the ball section can plug into any holes).

The ball section also can retract/extend a bit. Odd.

This is leader class right? Looks much better to me than the previous. I may just get this one and Prime, if he comes with a trailer.

It's called being a "true" fan. You of course, wouldn't understand that. :P

Toy reviewers do this so they can get the edge on other toy reviewers. Seibertron's done it a few times to get do galleries of the figure first. It's not always about personal glory, in the Transformers fandom or in real life. Still got a lot to learn there buddy..

I'll buy him probably, if only to finally have an Ironhide with proper feet and not that stupid hold over Movie 1 automorph that cripples his poses.

Agreed, he no longer looks like he has shoeboxes on his feet! He's still way to skinny.

Hmm...I never thought of it that way. I do remember looking at galleries here that were prototypes, like movie voyager Starscream and HFTD Starscream.

Regardless of legality and such, this looks awesome. If this is a voyager mold, I can't wait for the Leader Class. I hope that one looks even more bad ass. But this is a truly amazing depiction of the character.
