I just need to find one period. I havent seen any Leader class figures at all. I have Voyager Prime and love it, but I owuld like to get Leader Megatron and Prime. And then I will probably get the Voyager Megatron as well.

Voyager Class
-Instead of icicles on his wings, the translucent blue plastic makes it look as if huge chunks of his wings are supposed to be composed entirely of ice.
-Length of wings and distance between body and tips makes them appear useless
-Cripple fingers aren't hidden in vehicle mode
-Face is poorly hidden in vehicle mode
Leader Class
-Instead of metallic grey/silver with black details he's shiny plastic grey with metallic blue overspray, neon pink, and with black and gold details (and a lot of details left plastic grey and unpainted)
-Huge amount of kibble beneath the wings in vehicle mode makes them appear useless
-Backpack 'wings' kibble with big, glaring screws visible from the front in robot mode
-Hole in chest due to (what I assume is) inclusion of all-important 'automorph' gimmick
-Head is poorly hidden in vehicle mode
-Seriously... WTF is with the hot pink Vegas showgirl bits?
I really find it hard to understand why, if the designs were agreed to by Hasbro, the primary villain would have a design that apparently translates so poorly to toys. His Earth-mode isn't even a real vehicle, it's something the designers completely made-up. I can't say that I'm too keen on any of the toys, but they at least have a semi-faithful toy counterpart. Conversely, the only Megatron toy that looks remotely faithful to what's been seen in the promotional materials is the non-transforming one. The Leader class apparently has more kibble than Beast Wars II triple-changer Galvatron.

I have to agree with you here.. Why did they not simply paint him a flat sliver like he looks in the movie.

I just received my Leader Class Megatron in the mail today, and I have to say two things:
1.) Amazon.com rocks very, very hard. Hard as hell.
2.) Megatron is a great, great figure. He's got a cool transformation (except the legs...irritating a bit) and his Automorph doesn't get in the way. His gimmicks are cool, especially the claw hand and the combined arm cannon.
I think he was well worth the dough.

Megatron doesn't have an Earth mode, That is still his Cybertronian form. Actually Megatron is still in his "protoform" form like the sneak preview figures.

I know, I meant "alt-mode isn't a real Earth-based vehicle" but I have a habit of screwing my words up when I'm trying to multi-task (and should be working).

I just picked up the leader Megs today. I find it kind of eh. He is imposing and looks good standing next to Prime. But he is nowhere in the same league as leader Prime. The colors are kind of boring, and their is quite a bit of kibble. But I really wanted to get him to stand next to Prime, I don't regret buying him.

I agree about the kibble. I still say he's a great figure. I couldn't put him down today...
BTW, it says you're in Pittsburgh (I'm in Greenville, near the Youngstown border), where was it that you found Megatron? I scoured every store in my area and the Youngstown area and I couldn't find one. I had to mail order...

I found him at Target in Ross Park, just north of the city. They didn't have him there last week, so they've already restocked. Ooo, I just checked google earth and you're quite a ways off from the 'burgh. Probably tough for you to get around here.

Custom built in Photoshop. I think I'm going to start a fan club for this guy.
