Targetmasters in the 21st century? After the release of Universe Cyclonus with Nightstick, some may have been hoping for more Targetmasters to be released. A couple years later, we're getting more thanks to Takara, however you'll have to get out of your way to obtain Fracas, Haywire and Recoil. Thanks to blogger Alfes 2010, we've got in-package images of United Haywire and Fracas, as well as images of Haywire held by Generations Blurr. Fracas is held by a BotCon Sweep. These Targetmasters are extremely limited and rare, so if you have yet to get out of your way to obtain them, then good luck! Haywire is a repaint of PCC Caliburst, while Fracas is a repaint of PCC Chainclaw. Check out the images below!

Im thinking its time to pick up some PCC's when they go on sale and a couple cans of spray paint and gloss.

Also thinking of getting PCC Icepick since the original "Fracas" mold is clear blue and using him with the clear E-Hobby Scourge when he comes out. :D

Oh and Blurrz, I'm too tired to notice it but somethings off, like a repeated or missing word, I'm sure you catch it when you're up and able. I-)

Haha that is awesome. I really like these PCC minicons better without the clear plastic.

Nice, I'm really digging the look of the Autobot set. That's another one to add to my steadily growing "maybe at Botcon" list.

I got Huffer and Caliburst and I gotta say the blue on Caliburst matches up very well with Blurr. Sadly though the minicon port is a little loose in Blurr's hand, not to mention how dumb that particular gun mode looks. What I did was take a 4.8 mm stryrene tube(a tip I got from another thread on these guys), wrap a couple layers of tape around it, and placed it in the minicon port on Caliburst's back. It Makes a better handle and makes this minicon a better Haywire.

So I think its more worth it to just get the PCC figures than to pay a premium to get 3 minicons

I'm sorry I highly disagree that these overrated PCC target master wanna be's dont go with Genline or United and their greatly over priced! I would rather wait and see if PE does something alot better and alot cheaper, but thats me.

And me. It just seems like an easy way for Takara to make a little extra money. The colours may appear to fit with the Generations and United line better than the originals, but the molds really don't. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Yeah, once you spend a certain amount on Transformers. Takara wouldn't do it if they didn't think it might make them a little more money. Nothing in retail is truely free.

So? Transformers collectors in Japan were going to buy United figures anyway.

Are you getting them for free?

If so, good for you.

Takara aren't charging $50 for them though. Which I think was Blurrz point. Now, the Japanese stores that are offering these giveaways might sell more TFs to more people whilst this offer is going, but I don't think TakaraTomy are going to be making quite as much money as they would if these things were out in every store and available for a base price of $50 (or well, the equivalent in Yen). The mark-up in price (from $0 to $50) is by the resellers.
Dislike the manufacturers for not making these widely available for $5 (which they'd be able to sell loads of them for, I reckon) but don't dislike them for charging extortionate amounts of money for them, because they're not.

I just wish Hasbro would do stuff like this for us. I'd truck it on over to TRU and buy a few figures I might have otherwise passed on to get these little dudes.

I've noticed Hasbro tends to have more offers related to their Star Wars line (or even GI Joe) than their TF lines. There's been a few mail away figures for both over the past few years. Although, wasn't there a movieverse repaint you could get by collecting points? (I think it was some version of Ravage)

There also tends to be more offers on SW stuff at TRU (I'm in the UK so we're not really offered GI Joe, except the movie stuff :( ) and when I bought my MP Grimlock it came up with an offer for them to give me a £10 gift card. A Star Wars branded one, related to an offer of spending over (I think) £50 on SW Toys, which, unless there's yet another Special Edition I've missed, Grimlock wouldn't be.

Same here. I got Huffer for Christmas and joined him with the drones from Double Clutch since he wouldn't stay together. I like it better than the overpriced one......
