I wish ratchet's hands were poseable and he had a better weapon on his right hand than that fin (or whatever), but I too love him. I dig the green.

Agreed, Ratchet is greatness in a strange green wrapping.
The green isnt as lurid as some pictures make it out to be. He has a neat transformation. I think the robot mode looks good. If only those wheels werent either side of his head, poor old ratchet cant see whats at either side of him.

i like the automorph feature on ratchet the best i think. it's simple and it adds a little something without being too much. i like ironhide's automorph too, but i dislike blackout and swindle, their upper torso head seems to face in the direction of the spring pull.

Yeah, that's a Toys R Us exclusive. Had you gone to Walmart, you could have gotten Bumblebee and Barricade in an exclusive 2 pack for only 16.00.

Oh I agree his head looks like that of a cyber walrus
I want to know what automorph technology he has?
I transformed him but there wasn't anything different about doing it

Anyone know why at least on the UK release, his box boasts an arm cannon? =\

Rotating his feet into position unlocks his knees (which lets him transform) and bulges out the paneling on his legs.

He and Jazz are the only characters from the movie I haven't bought yet, aside from the obligatory Prime and Megs figures. The ones I have so far are:
Barricade & Frenzy
Blackout & Scorponok
Brawl
Bumblebee
Ironhide
Scorponok (Deluxe Version)
Starscream
I got Blackout and the Deluxe Scorponok in the Desert Attack Two Pack at TRU. I also have Wreckage and the Real Gear figures Spy Shot 6 and Booster X10. I do intend to grab the Dreadwing figure when it comes out.

Ratchet is my second favorite of the movies toys. As a toy its really the best IMO, I havent gotten leader prime yet but based on what I have seen I am still favoring Ratchet. Also I think the design/look of the figure is probably the best next to Brawl. It has enough of the old school elements to offset the bad movie parts. I really dont mind the color, I mean supposedly they are going with a "real" look for the figures and a bright green color is actually rather common among real life recue vehicles.
On a side note I think the TRU Blackout/Scorpinock two pack is a bit of a rip off at $25.00. I mean you are getting two $10 deluxe figures, one of which doesnt really transform (Scorp). The Wal-mart two pack on the other hand is actually a good deal.

Blackout is a Voyager-class figure. That's why you're paying $25 for the Desert Attack pack.

I pretty much fail to see how ratchet could be any better. He's an instant favourite with me. I went out for Ironhide, couldn't find him so came home with the big green fella instead. Happy days.
