Classics 3.0 we may be seeing soon.

I think we will be seeing the following:

A new Galvatron
Warpath
Maybe Devastator
Maybe Wheelie

This is a based on the Cyclonus vs. Rodimus comic. If you've seen it, you'd notice that it contains images of Classics style figures that have yet to be released. Including: Frenzy, Rumble, Lugnut, Kup and Grapple. As well as the Classics molds for Blurr, Jazz and Tracks whom were released roughly at the same time. I believe that images suggest a more G1 accurate Galvatron and a Deluxe Warpath (if it wasn't based on the Legends Mold). The comic depicts Wheelie and Devastator as well, but they are very.... Animated. To me, they do not necesarily suggest Classics releases.

Based on this theory, though, we can also assume that we will NOT be seeing a release of Springer or Arcee anytime soon, if at all.

I was just thinking that, as I picked up the battle in space set today. Warpath and a new Devy would rock, hard. Legends Wheelie is pretty good, but I wouldn't be upset if they released him again, as a lot of people missed out.

The artist, Boo, posts on here on occasion, maybe he could drop us a hint or too, since he saw the Lugnut, Scourge/Sweeps, Kup, Jazz, Tracks and Frenzy/Rumble before we did.

I would welcome all of those, especially Galvatron and Warpath. I would take a Devy as well, but I can't imagine it topping what TFCLUB is cooking up.

warpath looks the most likely

I'd have to agree. I never saw the Legends Warpath that came out, so I don't know if the comic mirrored that at all. But, given the new detail displayed on Warpath in the comic, I'd say, almost without a doubt, that we will be getting them.

Also, though only in Alt Mode, Snarl made an appearance (which is hilarious considering he was only in the '86 movie for about two seconds.), I think it'd be nice to get a Snarl and a Swoop to counter the TFA releases. And they could release Deluxe versions of the Insecticons by their side! It probably won't happen... But it's a wonderful thought! :)

I can't believe Ultra Magnus is getting overlooked so completely! I know it doesn't look like there was any redesign on him but with the hopes for a Galvatron so high, Magnus should be next on the wish list!

The only reason I overlooked Magnus is because he only showed up in one panel, and we have not heard anything about perhaps getting a new Magnus. I think Galvatron, in the comic, looks far too animated as well, but there is a rumor going around about a new Galvatron mold. (However, I feel pretty confident that it is going to be a Masterpiece mold.)

Yes the artist is a poster on here and he did state that the comic contains our first look at new toys and that our wallets will weep and that our minds will be blown when we open the comic.

Kinda off topic but you know after all these years i am suppriced to see they still have not made an accurate G1 with lights and sound, wouldn't it be awesome to have a G1 Megatron with the voice of "Frank Welker" and sound effect of his fusion cannon. or Starscream with his null ray and cluster bombs and voice of "Chris Latta" oh and gotta have the sound effect when he is in vehicle mode and he pass over you whooooommm sound. Sure they probably be expensive and long waited but well worth it i think. :CON:

Our minds will be BLOWN? AND our wallets will weep?

Okay, maybe Magnus isn't so unlikely.

I'll agree that Warpath is more than likely to get a figure based on how he looks like in the comic, but let's not forget that the comic contains a mixure of the G1 cartoon and Classics/Generations designs. The way I see it, Galvatron, Devastator, Magnus, Wheelie, and the Dinobots won't be getting the same treatment the other characters have been getting. Hopefully I'm wrong, but it just seems improbable at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, I would be all for these guys to recieve the Generations/RTS treatment but I'm not going to get my hopes up either.

I just cannot see HAS/TAK trying to compete with city commander. I believe magnus is out. A new Galvatron would have to be a MP, they just did the deluxe/classics/3 pack whatever version to death, so he is out. With the likes of Jazz and Tracks being O.G. as they are, I would not rule out atlest Grimlock if not more Dinobots. My bet though, is on more Beast Wars revisits. Not what I want my mind you, I'd like to see the return of headmasters, but that's me.

To hell with Magnus, FP CC does just fine for me, but bring on a G1 voyager size Galvatron and a nicely detailed deluxe Warpath, and the only reason i say deluxe cause i dont really collect legends. A voyager Galvatron with Cyclonus and the new Scourge with Sweeps standing side by side will be AWESOME!

I agree, Cosmos and Wheelie being legends is fine, but Warpath, not so much. He would be great as a large scout or a small deluxe, just not a repaint/remold of the Rumble/Frenzy mold, that would be teh suck.

well, according to the comic, it is a different mold entirely.

Comics that come with toys don't mean anything. Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm's comic had Animated Perceptor, Wheeljack and Red Alert. All 3 characters never received toys.

I'd love a G1ish Voyager sized Megatron, but if Hasbro aren't going to compete with the (how many years old now City Commander?) then I'd like them to at least re-release the Ultra Magnus figure for inside it, and FansProject to do another run of CC.

Why does everyone always seem to be wanting Ultra Magnus so badly? We got him with Classics then the best EVER incarnation of his armor with FP. That alone should make you UM lovers happy. It's certainly good enough for me. Move on!

Dinobots should be in classics 3.0 and my vote would be for Snarl and Sludge. Then Maybe some combiner Team leaders like Hun-Gurrr or Scattershot but deluxe size. Then they could scout class the rest of the limbs and hasbro would rake in heaps of money. That would be a breath of fresh air for me in 3.0.

OK...
1) Have you seen the price of Classics Ultra Magnus? It's about $150 for the 2-pack if you're lucky!
2) Most people don't like buying Fans Project and asking for an actually official Ultra Magnus is reasonable.

Hur Durr.

This is true. As much as I love my CC armor, I'd like to see what Hasbro/Takara can do in terms of offering us an official Ultra Magnus. The same goes for Springer. Hopefully it gives those who can't afford Fansproject a chance to add these characters officially into their collection.

A sidenote: I'd love to see the rest of the Dinobots in the Generations/RTS line. Maybe another take of Grimlock as a Voyager or Ultra :D

why not take the armored hotshot they had from armada a while back upsize it with a new head and you now have a animated ultramagnus made in to a classic or try it with onslaught or just use another prime only this time change the head it may not be as nice as what fansproject did but you now have magnus

i just don't think Hasbro will put the resources into an armoured UM. Or design it properly.
I bet they'd even make it scout class for crying out loud. That's a ridiculous statement of course but i just don't have the faith in Hasbro to design him properly. Their best so far was G1.

I agree with Monstergrotusque about UM, i dont see Has/Tak reproducing UM, and a deluxe size would be an insult to UM and like Monster said G1 was the best and FP is the ranking one for right now.

do you think its too much effort to upsise a figure they have?Im not trying to be rude in asking the question ,i just dont really know what goes in making a figure also for me r.i.d magnus was really cool, fansproject being the best and i'll always love the g1 the most cause it was the first transformer i ever had
