燦荒麻 of HK-TF forum has posted some in package and out of the package images of upcoming Reveal The Shield Optimus Prime.

This is a Deluxe Class figure that paying homage to Generation 2 Laser Optimus Prime, although the tanker is missing. Same as Laser Optimus Prime, his main weapon is a sword.

I can see customisers getting him for those hands, the extra posability in them would be neat for any smaller customs.

He's so mine. I wonder if he'll eventually be repainted in traditional colors. That aside, he missed some steps in the legs.

Defo purchase, but seriously, what were Hasbro thinking when they gave OPTIMUS PRIME a rubsign?!?!?!??!?

The rub signs are have been a joke anyways, Jazz and Tracks are both get the Autobot Name treatment in their bios right on the back of the card.

Now all we need is a Toxitron deco, come on Hasbro, you know you want to!

It would beat Magnus or Nemesis at least.....

i love these reveal the shield figures if kids dont feel like rubbing the rub sign on the toy they can look on the back of package to find out if the toy is good or bad

im litel dissapointed theres trailer for this one if 3rd company toy line dont make trailer for this guy ill be fine with it.

it still be buy with me if he is repainted in rid scourage i may get him if he has red eyes but i mostly like transfromation on the original rid scourge

Agreed! The obvious choice but could they do that having already used the name "Scourge" for Generations without confusing people? They caould call him N'Prime and give him an RID Scourge bio, that'd work

Agreed! The obvious choice but could they do that having already used the name "Scourge" for Generations without confusing people? They caould call him N'Prime and give him an RID Scourge bio, that'd work

Plus, "Nemesis Prime" would be more in line with RiD Scourge's Japanese name, "Black Convoy".

Wow. They put him in the RTS line. That takes piss-poor planning to a whole new level.

Articulation/posability is awesome. Love the head sculpt, nicely detailed for a Deluxe class. The sword is cool although the addition of a fire-arm is something that I think would have been nice too. A consistent paint job would have been even nicer since the blue/black combination with the flames redefines fugly and absolutely ruins what would otherwise have been an all around outstanding mold.

This looks pretty good. I like the idea of making a Classics styled version of Optimus Prime that has lots of elements from his Movie design. I'm still not sure if I'll get this or not, but if his sword can be held by figures with normal hands, that would make me want him more badly. My Classics Prime would look great holding that sword. I'd definitely get a Scourge repaint of this, although they might call him Nemesis Prime, since they also have G1 Scourge in the RTS series.

I plan on taking off the rub signs and replacing them with some repros. I loved the rubsigns back when I was a kid with my G1's, but not with these.....

Why must they make such an incredible-looking mold and give it such a -inducing color scheme? Idiots!

I'm so waiting for Toxitron, but I don't know if I can do it!

Am I the only one who sees a Motormaster in the design, with a different head sculpt? I am so freaking sick of every Optimus Prime being repainted as a Nemesis or Magnus. Repaint this guy as Motormaster and I might get it to stand in scale against my Classics Optimus Prime.

I will buy this prime. I may not be that crazy about it, but he will be a sacrifice to the Prime shrine. There he will stay, hardly noticed, collecting dust. Hardly noticed for his lack of awesome. The sword, cool. The wheel/leg thing is nicely done. The hands are a welcome upgrade. But overall, not wow. Nice.

Oh no! He has flames and he's more detailed than the original! Transformers are ruined forever!

I can't wait for RtS. I want this figure so bad. He's more articulated than I thought.

We'd rather have something other than Magnus or Nemesis. Just saying.

Said it before, and I'll say it again, I love this guy. G2 Laser Prime was one of my favorite TFs back in the day. Between BotCon '10's G2 Set, the upcoming Club G2 Ramjet, and now this guy, I believe there's a neoG2 display in my future

I reeeeallly don't understand why half of the grill is painted over with red paint, even though you can clearly see that the whole grill piece is molded in clear orange plastic.... Sometime the paint apps can be extremely head-scratching/frustrating, and overall, this is definitely an example of that.

HFTD Dirge and Gen Dirge are both on shelves simultaneously, so who knows.
