I was under the impression that he wasn't so great. I only base this on countless Youtube reviews I saw of the figure. That is why it struck me as odd that he topped a lot of favorite HFTD figure lists of members on this board.

G1: One of the most awesome figures
RotF: Awesome alt. mode, poor robot mode.

I can't really tell yet as I haven't opened mine yet (saving it for a rainy day, or just a depressing day in general.)

I have high hopes for him though.

I would rate him somewhere between decently awesome and pretty awesome.

Not anywhere near totally awesome though.

Awesome alt mode, weak bot mode.

He is really great, I have a blast with him. He has strange wrists. I have only seen him in stores once and I am glad I bought him.

I never saw him in stores, and I'm not sure if I'd get him right now or not, since I'm currently only collecting Classics-styled figures. I do think he looks really cool, though. I love WWII-era planes, and I would mainly want him for his vehicle mode. The main thing I don't like about him just from the pictures I've seen of him is the light blue paint on his underside. He'd look much better if it were white.

Nonexistant alt mode, nonexistant bot mode.

HE DOESN'T EXIST! I have NEVER seen him (or Blurr) at ANY store. He's even out of stock at every online retailer I've checked!

man from the way it sounds i'm lucky i found a total of 5 Highbrows. 1 at a walmart,2 at another walmart, 1 at a target, and 1 at a shopko

to the reveiw he is one of the bestfigures from hftdi'll say the goods and bads

the goods: highbrow has tight limbs, the slide down gogles, 2 miniguns, and his plane propelers become bades with motion when you push the gold coloredengine one each arm, good price to sell on ebay

the bads: weird wrists (to fix just keep arms in blade mode) HARD TO FIND

hope this helps

I've seen him a handful of times and have passed every time. Alt mode looks cool, bot mode looks terrible. Doesn't look to have an overly exciting transformation either. I'm trying to avoid buying figs that don't have at least 2 of the 3 these days...

He is pretty awesome, on of my my favorite HFTD figures. I found him at EPCOT.

I love his Alt mode, especially since there is virtually no robot kibble or any signs that a robot mode lurks beneath the surface. The robot mode, however, leaves something to be desired. It's a little awkward looking and not great for posing. But mostly I'm a sucker for any TF with an alt mode that's a real-life military vehicle, which is why I had to buy him.

That's what I've heard. I passed on him when I saw him due to the weak elbows/wrists.

I love the guy. His robot mode's not too bad. Arms a re slightly weird, but could be worse.

Great Alt' mode. However in my opinion, his robot mode does leave a lot to be desired.

I have seen Highbrow twice at the same gundam Target and I find it funny how such a sought after TF has the same pros and cons. I think the head was what bugged me really. The first time I had it in my hands I kept looking at the head sculpt and I just didn't dig it so I chose to put it down. The paint apps I didn't think were that great either, even the AA version which is really pricey right now. IMHO I really want to see what the repaint will look like and who it will be...'nuff said! :CON:

I was considering Highbrow at one point in time, but each time i see him, the wrists/elbows thing bugs me and not only that he looks like a KO figure cause he's so plain looking.

AT.

FRICKIN'.

LAST.

I FINALLY found a highbrow at a local Target, the ONLY time I have EVER seen this figure in a local store at ALL.

I gotta say, he does have some flaws, but I really cannot imagine any better way of making a Transformer out of a WWII style twin-boom bomber, especially with as little robot mode kibble as he has in plane mode.
