Star Wars Crossover Quad-Changer in the works

Star Wars fans site Rebelscum.com has reported some interesting news from the pages of Toy News magazine. The Star Wars Crossover line may be pushing the envelope with it's first quad-changer. The proposed figure would have two bot modes, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, and two vehicle modes, Republic Attack Cruiser and Imperial Star Destroyer! A picture of the page that describes the figure has been mirrored below.

That... actually sounds kinda cool. It'd be kind of like a Punch-Counterpunch version for the Star Wars line, showing Anakin's transition to the Dark Side. :-B

Though, with two altmodes (one for each bot mode), it's more along the lines of Animated Shockwave, which is also cool. 8)

It sounds both intriguing and scary considering how some of the previous figures from that line have turned out.

They can't do decent regular figures most of the time and they're upgrading to a quad changer? This ought to be good, in a trainwreck sorta way.

Ah, you beat me to it ED! And I had a witty headline thought up and everything.

This sounds intriguing to me but even as a huge SW fan, I still can't get myself to buy any of these crossovers.

That's too bad, you probably would have put a more entertaining spin on it :P I tend to be a little dry, but I'm working on it.

Well, I'm a pretty big Vader fan, so I might actually get this thing. It sounds very intriguing. Hasbro rarely releases triple changers, and very rarely do we see 3+ modes.

If the first images look good enough, this would probably be the first and only Star Wars crossover i'd have to get, just because I kinda like Revenge of the Sith. Was one helluva movie. ;)

I'm a sucker for larger Transformers. And who doesn't like SW? This has the potential to be the 3rd crossover figure in my collection (VADAR AND THE M. FALCON). Star Destroyers are the most deadly slices of pie in the galaxy!

Very interesting concept. It has to be a much larger figure...perhaps a Leader or Ultimate class figure. It would have to be on a par with the Death Star fig in order to work right I think...

Wow; this is definitely on my 'want' list! :D

I've been getting the Star Wars Transformers since they started in 2006; sure they've gotten more 'kid-friendly' and more expensive recently (haven't actually bought that much recently...I thinkn the only one I got since Summer is the Xanadu Blood!) & I'm certain (and hoping) this new model will be on the same complexity level, if not greater, than the freakin' awesome Death Star! :-B

I have no doubt about it that this will in fact suck.

Unfortunately you're probably right. Of the two Star Wars Crossovers I've bought I gave one away and returned the other. I wouldn't mind having the Vader/Deathstar in spite of it being a giant shellformer though.

I will defend to the death Hulk, Venom, and Grimstone. But this... yeah, this is going to be terrible.

The Force will not be with this.

I'm trying to figure out who the market is on this. Ever SW Person I've talked with hates these, and almost every TF fan I've talked with hates these.

I think it's aimed at kids who don't know any better. There must be enough of them out there to make this somehow viable.

How do they propose to pull this off? They can't even do good two-changers.

This would be the third figure from that line that I have purchased.
