TF: Prime toys? Are you sure?

TF: Prime premieres Feb. 11, just a few months away from the debut of the DOTM toyline. We're already seeing pictures of some of those, and the last two movie-based toylines lasted a good year. Do you think they can keep the series going until May 2012, the earliest date that any Prime toys could be released?

Well lets see:

Its their own production, in their own channel, of their own property, so who's going to stop them from continuing the show without any toys if they want to?

The only reason shows in other networks get canceled is because with low ratings, selling advertisement time to other companies is less appealing than on shows with high ratings because there's a lot of people watching.

In their own channel, they can promote their other TF lines and their other toy lines whether the show has a good rating or not.

And they new they'd have the third movie cut in, so its something they've planed for since the beginning.

I seriously believe that no labeled "Prime" toys will be released.

Don't worry, there will be toys. They'll probably wait until DOTM Mania dies down to flood the shelves.

It won't be that long.

TF: Prime is the future of this franchise. Expect Hasbro to leverage the DOTM exposure to build interest in Prime. By Christmas of this year, the DOTM hype machine will probably be on life support. Allowing interest in the franchise to wane while the same ol' stuff warms store shelves is bad business.

I expect TF: Prime toys to show up by Christmas, if not a bit sooner. Having (at least a few of) these toys share shelf space with DOTM toys should be an important part of TF: Prime's brand exposure. Without another movie in the pipeline, building that brand is critical.

If there's gonna be a TF: Prime toyline, i'd like to get Eradicon's figure
