G1 Transformer suggestions

Hello. In March (probably the 25th) I will be purchasing the Commerative Series III Thundercracker along with an ORIGINAL G1 transformer, and I would like to hear some suggestions. I buy from BBTS and Amazon, so if you suggest some to me I will search there and see if I can purchase it. I have a limited price range of 100 dollars, so what ever it is, since Thundercracker is 46 dollars, it must be at least 34 dollars. Just suggest the character and I'll see if I can get it. Thanks for helping!

Clarify.

Are you asking for advice on what to buy?

or

Are you offering to buy some figures to sell?

Why would you get what we think you should buy? I found my G1 Thundercracker in a thrift store missing his fists and 1 gun. Paid 2.00. Luck.

I am asking for advice on what to buy.

Because what ever you suggest I'll see if I like it, and if it's a reasonable price range, I might just buy it. :D

Me- I would go with anything I like and can afford at that time. So, if it catches your eye, and you can see it posed next to any of the other ones you have, get it!! :KREMZEEK:

BBTS was selling Hot Rod and Kup the other day, its offsale now 8-| but I didn't have the money to buy them anyway, yet. I'm still awaiting the 75 dollars I need to make 100 dollars so I can buy them. I'm still taking suggestions though ;)^

Have you tried transformerland.com? They always have something good.

I'll take a look at it. So far, Crave has disappointed me, because they barely have complete transformers, and when they do, they are overpriced. So far, BBTS and Amazon are the only satisfying selling bases.

My suggestions would be Wheeljack, Mirage and Sunstreaker, in that order. I saw that because their molds are either destroyed or broken, so the chances of them being reissued are next to nothing. Beware of KO's though.

I'll look into them. I'm trying to get some more decepticons, but a decent-sized car wouldn't hurt. I only have Optimus Prime, 3 minibots (Gears, Bumblebee, and Outback), Ultra Magnus, 2 Throttlebots (Chase and Searchlight), and Slag, so I don't have any cars on the Autobot Side. On the decepticon side I have...Scavenger. Thats it.

My suggestions:

Prowl

Ironhide is often sold reasonably cheap on Ebay with the custom clip on head. Believe me it's a great little toy when it has a head.

Sideswipe

Red Alert

Smokescreen

Wheeljack

Soundwave

Megatron

Much as I love the characters, I was disappointed when I Got Hound and Skids.

Would you consider any of the E-Hobbys like Clampdown?

I would also recommend Robotmasters Mirage. Looks nicer than G1 Mirage and looks better with Prowl and the ganag.

I'd try for the other Throttlebots. I've always personally found great satisfaction in completing a set of figures, and Throttlebots are an affordable option.

I guess. Throttlebots slightly annoy me though. I'm going to go a head and seek some large figures. It's an unfair fight when Thundercracker (whom Im getting in the near future) can only fight Optimus, and Outback is left with Scavenger. Bumblebee's going to get kicked down there. :BLACKEYE:

If that's the case (advice on which to buy), be verrrrrrry patient. It took me like ove 20 years just to complete the G1 season One gang (with the exception of the Dinobots.)

1st and foremost are you a:

MISB collector or loose?

My collection is a mixed batch, I nearly have all the G1 Season one figures with the exception (back then) of a few minibots and Ratchet,Ironhide and Trailbreaker. Encore helped me with that regard. Same with the Decepticons (that one I got with the TFC series).

You can also try e-bay but research carefully. There are a lot of KOs floating about.

At ebay (one of my feel good stories)I scored the following:

Loose but mint(really mint)

1.Groove
First Aid
Streetwise

(Classic no rub symbol version)all from a Greek seller. Really nice guy in fact.

2.MISB but not AFA

Blades (Euro version no rub symbol)

From the UK

3.Doubledealer (with rusty rivets (common problem for the 1987 run) complete

From Puerto Rico

4.Countdown (Moon buggy only) from New Zealand

5.Blurr complete near mint but no labels( reprolabels filled the gap)

from the USA

6.Motormaster complete but loose (awaiting delivery)and hopefully near mint to mint

from the UK

This makes my collection a veritable United Nations. So be very patient, research, ask questions here in seibertron (the advice I got concerning my Protectobot components here really pushed the deal)and you might complete your collection in a decade or so (nope that is not sarcasm but reality 'cause I went through that same wringer)

If I were you, start small........

the minibots then slowly but surely upsize.

Why not try and get some more G1 Constructicons. You said yourself that you wanted to add more Decepticons to your collection, and as you've already collected Scavenger, they would certainly fit with what you have already.

I've started mixed, and I've been recently buying small ones, because they seem to be the only ones I can afford. Trust me, when I get 120 dollars (yeah, I've gotten some money recently, so those 75 dollars added = more) I will continue large.
