The Energon Pub

I just got another ML soundwave (blaster black version) and to much disappointment I got another dud. I returned the first one almost a year ago and I thought I would attempt again cuz I really wanted one.

Anyone else had the same problem and manage to figure out what to do?

i have a SanDisk 1gb mini SD card.
i have reformatted it twice
and im using a brand new battery
the blue led is blinking

the most it did was play a static like sound for a few seconds then stop...

I got him for less than $50 shipped and god knows I have paid more for TF's that do nothing more than look cool, but I just have a hard time accepting him when I know he should do more.

any help with this would be much appreciated

is there music loaded on the memory card?

Yeah, this is why I never bothered to try mine.

The card could be too big. Some people say 1-2 gig works, others say no bigger than 512 mb.

It could be the format of the card. Try them all: FAT, FAT32, NTFS.

It could be the files themselves. Try a single mp3, no symbols in the filename, 128bit or less.

I have done done most of those suggestions, next step is another card. anyone have any suggestions based upon ones that have actually worked?

Hey, I used to do service on in ground pools. It's been my experience that the answers to simple questions often can be part of the solution.

Chances are it's the card you're trying to use with it...I'/ve heard the player is kinda picky. But it is a garbage player by the sounds of it. Haven't even bothered trying mine for that purpose. I have thought about getting a cheap card for it, but just so he can eject something.

I am surprised some 3rd party hasn't come out with a rumble/frenzy transforming SD card (non functional). It would be a thin figure though.

Im more surprised that he wasnt gutted and imported through hasbro as a classics figure. The electronics suck but the figure itself still looks incredible and would have fit well into the line.

BTW, i gave up on my figure, I tried just about everything short of taking him apart. The seller refunded half of price and let me keep him. not to bad of a deal
