How much would you pay for an extraordinarily detailed sculpt and what gimmicks would you like it to have?

The exact same transformation like in the movie, a perfect sphere, and a stand. Of the 3 only the last one is physically possible

What size are you looking at here?
MY idea of a MP Unicron would be about 2.5 to 3 feet tall (yeah, this sucker would be expensive), and transform into the round planet (not like the Armada one).
That is all the gimmick I would need.
That is my idea, I am interested in seeing others ideas too.

I have thought about this toy since the movie. The idea in my mind for it would probably run about 350.

With the G-1 Legends coming out, I'd like to see just a head sculpt about the right scale. A little off if fine, but I've never bought one cause he is supposed to be huge compared to the others.
In the movie Galvatron in one scene comes out of his eye. So, I'd like huge, but just the head.
I almost bought the universe one that came out a while back, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I like him, just not to scale for me.

I'd like to see a 2-3 foot tall one too. I'd be looking for heavy surface detail. Maybe some LED or fiber-optic pulsing lights to make it seem alive. His planet mouth could benefit from that. Throw in some mini versions of Galvatron and company or some minicons and I'd pay $400 for that thing.
Gentle Giant and Kotobukiya (spl) has been making things like the $1200 Melineum Falcon. I'd like to see what they could do for TF.

LOL Galvatron? In the movie the Autobots ram a Quintession ship through Unicron's eye...yes a spaceship fits into unicron's eye. the scale of this would be immense.

Actually, it would be taller than a regular man! All because of scale...

Yeah, I hear you. I kind of like SN95 Cobra R's idea though. make him a decent size and throw in 5-6 mini galvatrons and the like and I'd pay about that same amount for it.

Heck, an entire ship went in one eye, but Galvy barely fit on the way out. His scale is inconsistant at best.
Imagine a "Unicron's Head" playset... Six feet tall and wide, which can open up with about 4-5 levels with different things - the smelting tanks and cranes, poseable cables with claws on the ends, etc etc...

I'm gonna throw in that I'd buy his head alone if it was huge and looked real-ish. His head is kind of iconic.

As much as I'd want one, I'm running short on space as it is. Still, a three to five foot diameter Unicron would be simply epic.

A masterpiece Unicron doesn't have to be big, they could make it as tall as MP Starscream and it would be fine with me as long as he looks show-accurate in both forms. Like what the others said, being able to transform into a perfect sphere and having a stand would be no-brainers, but in the matter of features or extras, I think having some sort of voice gimmick would be awesome.

As much as I am a G1 enthusiast, the Energon color scheme won me over. Innacurate or not, it's way better than his original colors. So maybe have that as an alternative color scheme to the regular.
1) The size would have to match the current Unicron figures. No point otherwise.
2) Perfect sphere. Otherwise there's no point; the 2010 or even the Armada one would be good enough.
3) Light up GREEN eyes.
4) A place in planet mode that can reveal the ship he gave the Decepticons.
5) A stand for Planet mode.
6) Junkion and Quintesson ships he can crush.
7) Articulated hands like Armada Unicron so he's able to crush those ships.

A Detachable head with a stand that could work with Primus' mini con ports so you can have a head that orbits Primus.
9) A Matrix Classics Prime, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, and Thunderwing (for bonus points) can hold. May have to have some sort of cheat to allow some of these guys to manage the trick. Dunno, don't care.
10) A Matrix Classics Galvatron can wear around his neck on a chain. It's have to be kinda tiny, so it may not be possible.
11) Tiny TFs he can stomp on.

IF they made him in the MP range he'd be leader class size and cost $200.
If they made a proper one I wouldn't want him to be much bigger than the version Armada, maybe 24 inches, cos display would be a problem but if the rings light up and surface details could illuminate with a gentle glow that would be cool. Also he should say "I... AM UNICRONNNN" in Orson Wells's voice.

I have the armada and energon ones and IMO the only way to make a MP would to be a better planet mode, green eyes, and mini figures for him to smash/destroy.

It would need a better, more round planet mode. He would have to be really screen accurate to be better than the repaint we just got. He wouldn't have to be huge (MP sized is good for me). I like the idea of mini figures as accessories.
I would pay the normal price of an MP. Any more than that would be ridiculous (in my opinion).

If they aren't going to make it bigger than Fort Max, there's no point, IMO.
Of course, if they did that, it would cost too much, and probably fail a drop test or something and only come out in Japan.
Oh well, I'm happy with ArmadaCron.

Yeah, I think if a MP Unicron was designed and produced, it'd have to be at least Fort Max sized. And a die-cast toy that size would run about $1000 or so, wouldn't it? At least $500-600. But if they did it right I'd pay it, though I am perfectly happy with my Armada Unicron. I think a much rounder planet mode would be a must, even if it wasn't a perfect sphere.
As for gimmicks, I'd take a small Quintesson ship, and he should have battle damage, as in removable eyes and a removable right leg below the knees. Those were his injuries right before he blew up, right? I'd say they should go all out and include a somewhat smaller Cybertron planet as an accessory, but that would drive the price up some more. But what the hell, if people are willing to pay $600, they might as well pay $750 for the extras.
And I do think if something like this was possible, it would only come out in Japan, because American laws, especially for toys, would be too strict. And I don't consider MP TFs toys, BTW.
