Does MechTech work with that clip system that was in a lot of Generations/RtS stuff? That would be totally awesome.

From what little I've seen, it works in a peg/hole system. Possibly the 5mm hole, though I though I caught a glimpse of a minicon-style port for it.

Not directly no. While so far it seems some Mechtech weapons do have the clips, and other's have the clip points its not the main way they interact with figures. Nor should we expect all of the weapons to have clips. Clips points probably.

Mechtech weapons work off of spring loaded peg holes. From the looks of it, it seem to be 5mm standard holes with spring action to automatically cover themselves up.

-- Is it just me, or does some of the "MECH-TECH" vehicles with figures remind anyone else of the 'M.A.S.K.' toys of the 80's that HasBro acquired from the defunct 'KENNER' brand...?!! ( I have very fond memories of 'M.A.S.K.' along with 'TRANSFORMERS-G1'; I think the merging of these concepts now is "AWESOME"!!)

The Human Alliance figures do have a certain MASKness to them.

I guess its about time we see a MASK revival. Hasbro has been hinting at it for a while what with Specialist Trakker in the G.I. Joe line, and now these Human Alliance deluxes with attack modes.

And Kenner was absorbed by Hasbro way back around the time Beastwars was around. BW was a Kenner distribution, but a Hasbro owned brand.

I did spot the clips on some MechTech stuff, I forget exactly where I saw them, but they will be carried over in MechTech. I guess Hasbro decided it was a good concept to keep.
