Seems your Megatron is very floppy. I got one last year and he has no trouble standing up straight or holding his cannon.

Mine stands fine but the cannon arm does have trouble staying up too. It will stay up at a 90 degree angle but has trouble with angles less than 90.

Well I have had a couple of the first runs of TFC #6 and the joints were very tight. Maybe the second production run was produced with fewer quality controls.

With the canon on his arm, mine has a tendecy to lean down like half an inch on that side. Quite annoying. Yours doesn't?

I have one from the second run and aside from a similar issue that Omega-1 has (arm as problem holding a pose at an angle of less than 90 degrees), mine has no QC issues at all.

I have the reissue #6 Megatron you speak of.

Both of those things are normal. The joints are just not that strong. Kepp in mind, this thing was designed in 1974.

Let's not compare today's ALTs/BTs to yesterday's Diaclones, it is just not fair. For his time, he was the $***. Even today, he STILL is, IMHO.

Didn't you know Bonger? According to RobotAdventures on U2be, that is his "G-lean".

You just need to bias the flaps on top of his feet in such a way that he has more "support" pushing up his right side where he holds his arm cannon.

Oh yeah, NO QC issues with ANYTHING TAKARA I have ever purchased, including TFC #06, which I got in 2003, so 1st run??? I guess it was.

Now Yamato QC issues? Oooooh yes.

Hehe, I have had major issues with Takara. The one I am most pissy about is Starscrem. They forgot to put in a pin to hold one of his fingers in, so it fell off. Luckily I found it and put it back in. Still, need to be super careful for ever to not lose that piece.

Megs G Lean huh? LOL. I've tried messing with the feet and came up with a better idea. I haven't implemented it yet, but I plan on putting led tape inside his left side to balance him out. I'm also going to led tape his legs which I think will help him hold poses much better.

Do what I did, use the instrucktions, I know they re for plonkers but for Megs you just need them.

Well I just followed the pics, maybe I just figured the feet out by myself. I don't remember. His Transformation scares me.
But he does have the coolest instruction Book I've ever seen
It's over Prime.

Oh hell yeah. Great packaging, great book, great accesories and great figure. Could just use a little tweaking.

That would be cool, but I meant more design wise. You know, chunkier legs and better posability. But thats if we were going for perfection.

Probably not. I am fine with the way he is right now though. If I could get him to hold poses better, I would be ecstatic.

Wow, we really hijacked this thread lol. Sorry OP!

IMHO, based on his alt mode, MP Megatron is perfection. Just his design is so sublime. the engineers deserve our thanks, as fans.

I know they have mine.

I just wish the enteire frame/skeleton was diecast, then it would be truly other-worldly.

That said, the original Megatron is still awesome.
