Without the chrome Perceptor just looks meh. Actually this whole wave is only average in my mind. None of the different paint apps grab me as BUY NOW! The only one I'm considering is Blurr, only because I dont have the Hasbro one yet either.

One questions about the metallic paint on the United figs: how fragile are they?

I've got a United Turbo Tracks still MISB because I'm afraid I'd damage the pristine paintjob if I transform it.

Does it hold up well to moderate handling, or do I need to clear coat it with a few layers of gloss top coat before putting my grubby fingers on Tracks?

Is there a difference between United & RTS Kup?

I've got the Alternity Seekers and Cliff and Bumble, most of whom have metallic paint-jobs. Cliff is suffering some very light wear, but otherwise the paint holds up really well. I've transformed my United Tracks several times and he's shown absolutely no sign of paint wear whatsoever. In conclusion, I'd say the paint they use for their toys is pretty solid. If you are worried about it, then just treat the transformations with respect. Tracks is a really fun toy, it'd be a shame to leave him MISB.

I have only two United figures so far, Drift and Jazz. I opened Drift and the contrast of paint and plastics is very different. One thing I like about U-drift is the paint apps, though not applied all that great, look more like how the comic should be. I would have been fine with G-Drift but after seeing U-Drift, I went ahead and got U-jazz.

Haven't opened him yet, but he looks very nice and bright compared to RTS Jazz. The Autobot symbol is painted on and hot that dumb cheap RTS symbol which already fell off Rodimus and Tracks.

Now I'm not dissing generations or RTS, I don't want all of United, but Jazz and Drift will change your mind a bit. I like G-Blurr just fine because of the lighter coloring. Kup I have for Generations and I got the e-hobby version coming with the cy-gar head set for both.

That's great news! Thanks, man. Tracks shall be freed of his plastic prison tonight.

The obvious difference is United's painted wheels...Hasbro loves leaving them look like s**t. Also looks like United's stomach is painted silver.

I am in love with the United Wreck-Gar! I was going to just stick with Hasbro's version, but...this one just automatically get's 'Dare to be Stupid' going in my head (A sign!!)
That United Blurr looks badass too!! I'll get that one as well, since the metallic paint looks awesome on him!

I wonder if United Kup will get metallic paint.
