I found, but didn't buy, one at a Wal-Mart in Rosedale Maryland.

walmart's you're best bet, everytime i go to one, i see a half and half mixture of the two. just look for the one that says "real movie sounds", you'll find one.. they're not flying off the shelves

I see both, but less of the Cullen. Has anyone noticed the other version sounds like Optimus Primal?

I have found them at Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and Kmart. I haven't seen any at Target yet.

Maybe because Gary Chalk was the VA for that version...
Can't honestly say I have been paying much attention to the voice changer. Though I did recognize Cullens voice on the one I happened to play with.

Toys R Us is the only place I've noticed them. My Wal-Mart still doesn't have the movie toys out so I can't say anything about there. I just wish the actual voice changing worked well. It doesn't make you sound anything like prime. It just puts distortion on your normal voice. Still awesome to order food at Wendys with it on though.

I got one for my son

at Walmart. The endcap display had about 20 helmets and only about 3 Cullen versions.
I cannot figure out why they would release anything other than the Cullen voice for these. You have to wonder who the hell does the market sampling for Hasbro.

They released them because they had already made them before they could get a hold of Cullen. They had contracting conflict with the movie and couldn't get Cullen to do anything else for a long time. When they could they had already recorded the Gary Chalk version and manufactured probably several thousand of them. They weren't just going to throw them out because they suddenly got the other Prime.

I'd sure love it if someone emulated the chip over into an exe or flash program.
It'd be great to drop your synthesized TF voice into homemade techno.
Big plus if Cullen's voice AND Chalk's were included.

the quality of the voice and sound on the Cullen one is better. The Chalk one sounds quiet and not so um echo-y like.

I imagine either version probably beats the tiny Ultra Magnus one I had in the 80's... the one with a plastic straw sticking out his ass that you had to put in your mouth while making a fish face.
...And it only made you sound like Peter Frampton.

Just found the Cullen version at TRU.
They had like 2 of it compared to 10 of the others...it's cool, and I'm glad I bought one!
