Predaking

Finally got to put my 2010 Predacon set together last nite.

After 2 1/2 hrs cleaning figs and trying to put on all those stickers meticulously, I was able to form Predaking for the very first time(think Madonna here).

I have never had this figure before or even a single Predacon component.

Definitely worth it and he has a very hulking monstrosity feel to him compared to the other G1 combiners.

I am now very sick of gold stickers by the hundreds but he came out stunningly and a very sought after piece for my collection is now in my hands.

I just wanted to blab about it because it is a great figure and comes out awesome with a little patience and fortitude in the sticker department.

Also, anyone care to explain how Divebomb is the only one out of the group that got a good set of normal-ish looking arms

He is an impressive thing to have on your collection shelf. Congrats!

i had Divebomb and my brother had Tantrum when we were growing up, but we never had all of them. Then the cost of trying to buy the set in the aftermarket was prohibitive. I lucked out on the BST thread here and traded for a G1, complete, nice shape, die cast set. He is an incredible figure.

Congrats on opening and stickerfying him (yes i said it) anyway, im the same way, never had all of Predacons, just had Razorclaw and when i got this set i was thinking this set is massive, hulky, heavy, but its all soo cool and ive added the CD head and wings and too me, it just made the set alot better and all he needs is the bigger sword, cause the dinky sword just looks wrong with that massive combiner.

Congrats! I have one myself, and it's awesome. Did you put the red eye stickers on? I didn't, because I don't know which ones go to which figures. Anybody have an english sticker map?

No red eyes for mine.

I debated it for a bit, but going to have to watch the G1 cartoon, cause I don't remember the red eyes..... So it could still happen.

No Crazy Devy add on's for me, I can't justify spending as much on accessories as the figure itself.

The correct scale to the other TFs has always been very appealing to me, which is why I am looking forward to getting my own predaking sometime this year. Whether it be an original or a reissue, it doesn't matter.

3.8TA, if i was you i would at least get the sword or the head, i understand about the wings and the other upgrades, the price has gonna up on the wings for sure, but the wings does raise Predaking to a more massive scale next to other combiners! I have Predaking next to G1 Devastator with all CD parts and the BBTS Piranacon re-issue and Predaking just towers over all of them, and for giggles, i brought out G1 Abominus and Bruticus (all metal version) and i just laugh to myself thinking, Predaking is soo massive compared to the other G1 combiners. Also, if you want pics 3.8 TA let me know, i would be happy to send them or post them here.

I got him and love him. :) He is so big and bulky, and has almost-good articulation. ;)

the sword... is the only 'maybe' for me from CD. The wings are way too big and damaged the figure! What the hell?! :BANG_HEAD:  :-x

I got the wings with my Peddy on Christmas. At first, i really liked the wings, but now i'm not so sure. I may take them off and put the old ones back on. I just feel those wings are to small. These other are too big. I wish a 3rd party would release a whole new set- a backpack with slightly bigger wings that fit right into where the old wings go. No taking apart or damaging the guy. Anyone else think the same?

I was super excited when i finally completed my G1 Predaking.Congrats on yours.

I had him displayed for a good while but broke him down into the individual components and display them as a team. I display most of my combiners that way now. In their team format.

Great! I've still got mine MISB and have been waiting to open him up and form the mighty Predaking.
Not looking forward to the stickers as I hate putting those things on.

Watched some season 3 today, no red eyed Predacons, so no red eye stickers for me

If u have some neat pics post them here.

The Crazy Devy stuff.................. I can't justify the money for them. The figures are more important to me then add ons, so if I have to make a choice the figs always win.

I have in the master bedroom, she whines about it  I turn on the light just to check him out.

Have to move m collection room, so no sense sticking it in there only to move it all again.

For the folks worried about the stickers, they aren't that bad to do, just a lot of them.

I kept a wetted paper towel and cleaned of the sticker areas on each figure before applying along with a quick dry off before the actual application.

Just remember not to push down until u know u have them lined up as good as u possibly can.

Divebomb's wings and Razorclaw's mane are the hardest one's to do, just go slow and it will be fine and look good as hell when it's done.

Just got Encore Omega Supreme out so that will be my next project t-nite or in a few minutes actually.

As I promised, here are some pics of Predaking with CD upgrades, which i only have the wings and the head for now. The next upgrade will be the sword and maybe just maybe the shoulder cannons, but not 100% on the cannons yet. The rest of the G1 Combiners are Devastator with all of CD upgrades, BBTS Piranacon and 100% G1 Bruticus all metal version with WST Shockwave! Oh yeah, no stickers applied to Predaking yet, i plan to buy another predaking for MISB for when i have children and pass it on them, so for now here is what i have:

I like the wings too, it makes Predaking look massive like he is suppose to be.

I'll sticker them up when i get another Predacon set, and i will send more pics when i'm done.

Oh yeah, any advice before applying stickers to these guys?

Study the instruction book well for placement.

Wet a paper towel or use a small batch of lightly dish soaped water and wipe down any surfaces where stickers will be placed.

Wipe said surfaces dry.

Place stickers on. I did an amazing job free handed. If u aren't steady or question yourself I would rather have a pair of tweezers lying around. Most of them are not too bad, just go slow and pay attention and you should be fine.

It will take some time so dont be suprised if u waste an hr or two before u are done.

Then form Predaking and go "Badass!"

I hated the stress of applying stickers when I was a kid; I still hate it now. I think I'll have to leave my Predaking in his birthday suit.
