looking for opinions on RTS Prime

I'm on the fence. He wouldn't fit anywhere on the shelves, but I think he looks really good. Do I wait for an eventual repaint into a different character or just crow bar him in as Optimus Prime's brother from another mother?
Does anybody out there have him and if so, how do you feel about it?

I grabbed up first thing, I love Laser Prime so I had to have him. No doubt he'll be repainted into 'Nemesis Prime', the RiD Scourge that was so loved. I myself love the figure, but the altmode's paintjob is a little iffy.

If you're gonna keep him in bot mode, jump on him. Otherwise, either wait for the repaint or buy the United Prime.

I do not yet have him (the case is sitting in my PoL), but since he's out of G2, I'm planning on displaying him with the BotCon 2010 G2 figures.

He's a pretty cool figure, however I use him as Micromaster Overload on my shelf.

I was not going to get him at all. However after passing him up 3 different times I finally gave in. Very posable figure. He will be the Only G-2 Character I get though

He's a really nice little figure, and that's my one complaint, his size. I would have preferred a voyager class release or at least a deluxe with tanker trailer. He looks good in both modes, and really evokes G2 Prime. Not a huge fan of his two tone color scheme in alt mode, but the United version remedies that. I don't think you'll be disappointed with him.

I don't have him yet, but I really want him. I'd still recommend him no matter what though.
As for "where he fits on the shelf", I was actually thinking he could be displayed with the movie guys, dueling with deluxe class DOTM Starcream (when he's released) considering they both have melee weapons.

I'm thinking of picking up an extra one for a "Huffer" repaint...or possibly a Hoist to with "Solar Storm Grapple" .

I still can't FIND him at any stores here, but just from photos I am in love. If you need him to fit with your other toys, just view him as the upgrade for another Optimus.

I'll go against the grain here and say I wasn't very impressed with this figure. Maybe he's more exciting if you're into G2 Prime, which I have no special attachment to. You can see what he looks like, I don't think he looks that great, and his transformation is nothing special. If not for DOTM Prime, this would probably be the worst Prime since Monkimus Prime.

Kibble, I feel as though you're forgetting Classics deluxe Prime, which is clearly the most terrible non-animal Prime.

Erg... well I was born too late for G1 so I ended up growing up with the Generation 2 era stuff, therefore I have a great sentimental value in all things G2.

Also Classics Deluxe Prime becomes at least 25% better once you learn to LOCK HIS GIMMICK BY PULLING THE TRIGGER BACK.

I agree that fig has a garbage alt mode, but I think his bot mode is quite nice actually. If only they made his legs collapsible for alt mode it could've actually been a rather decent figure.

I'm trying really hard to wait for a repaint, but he's at every target (there's 3 in my area that I frequent) every week when I stop by looking for scourge. He's getting harder and harder to pass over.
