The Best Transformers Toy Size?

I personally think it's Deluxe. It's just exactly the right size for me, and not too complicated transformation.

deluxe and whatever class Armada Unicron was in. Was it Ultra?

Anyhow....the difference between the two sizes works accordingly in toy format for the most part. It's satisfactory at least.IMO

With a splash of Voyager here and there.

You know what Voyager Class toy is really good? ROTF Demolishor.

Deluxe...or maybe voyager. I'm just now collecting the voyager and leader sizes more than I used to, so that could change.
But I think deluxe class has the most effort put into the design alltogether.

definitely deluxe, they can be complicated enough and with plenty of POA, without getting too expensive. That said, some characters should be larger (Voyager or Ultra, or even larger) or smaller (Scouts, some Legends and of course, Mini-cons/ various 'Masters) depending on the characters. I don't think there should be one single class.

In general, it'd have to be Deluxe. First off, it's just right, price-wise. Secondly, most characters can fit nicely into that size. Third...well, if it weren't any good, than Generations wouldn't be all Deluxes, would it? ;)

When you get down to specifics, though, then you have to be more discerning. While I don't mind minibot Powerglide being an Ultra (I think it's pretty cool, really), Universe Unicron would be terribly disappointing if he were Scout Class.

It really depends on which character we're talking about [OP should always be voyager and above], but generally, deluxe gives you the most bang for buck.

Using Bayverse Bumblebee as an example, Battle Blades BB is, as far as I've read in reviews and comments, the best BB out there in terms of movie-accuracy, articulation, and affordability. Even bigger, more expensive versions like HA and Leader class were trumped due to their dependence on child-oriented gimmicks, which made the figs suffer in terms of screen-accuracy and articulation.

Just my two cents' worth.

That said, I think voyagers are pretty good, because most figs in that class have better details than deluxe, but are mostly free of the overbearing lights and sound gimmicks in Leader class figs.

In the end, I guess what I mean to say is, the class with the least kid-oriented gimmicks is the best class, which happens to be the Generations line.

Most of the fun toys are deluxe, so I'd say deluxe. Not weighed down in gimmicks typically, great articulation, and just the easiest to handle. I guess I just simply prefer smaller toys too.

Of course, that's not to say I don't like voyagers and scouts. I really like having a variety of sizes, makes each figure feel a little more individual.

I'd say Deluxe. It overall has the best figures, and if there were to be a main line with only one size class, Deluxe would be best.

My vote is for Deluxe class figures. They are still nice representations of the characters and have good transformations and articulation, but don't overwhelm everything around them with their size.

You clearly haven't ever gotten your hands on BO Bumblebee, as he has the most articulation and the best on-screen accuracy despite his size and actually good light and sound gimmicks. It's the price that turns people away.

My favourite's Leader Class. I love Leader Class Optimus and Starscream from ROTF so very much and Animated Megatron, Bulkhead and Ultra Magnus are three of the best Animated figures.

The thing that turns most people away from Leader Class is, again, the price.

I'd say Deluxe for the mainstream figures, if I told the reasons I'd only be parroting. The largest sizes (Leader, Supreme and Ultimate) for me are reserved for the most major characters. Especially Supreme and Ultimate can be Masterpiece quality if done right.

Bigger toys allow better detailing and movie accuracy. Moreover, as engineer, complexity of the design is what I value the most.

Therefore, Leader and Supreme Classes TF are always the best IMO! Voyager is ok if it allows smaller robots to be in scale with the Leader ones.

I consider deluxes mere pieces of decoration for the bigger ones. Smaller toys like scout and legends are just crap, the only exceptions were HFTD little Ravage and the insection bot.

If the TF well designed and painted, it is worth it. Show me a Movie-accurate Leader Class Mixmaster and it will have no remorse to spend $100 on it. The same goes for a Supreme Class Long Haul, no doubt $200 worth. And it goes on ...

A ultra-supreme Class Demolisher in scale with Leader Prime and Voyager Ironhide would be worth $500 or more, it would be just a dream becoming reality :-)

Deluxe and Leader for me. Deluxe are not expensive, and often more accurate and still complex. But Leader class really is good for some figures, who as another size class is really out of place. Voyagers are ok, but not great

deluxe hands down, and scout with a dash of voyager, hell i even like some of the better legends,

****caution highly opinionated rant****
just not @#$%^&* leader, keeerist, clunky, lacking in detail, size of a frikken house with gimmicks, giant battery compartments taking up transformation space just so my toy can endlessly drone its name while garrishly flashing in seizure mode... mmmmmmmm yeah i can see how vision impaired people and kids love leader class but not for me. the occaisional leader, fine, unicron sure. but a giant bumble bee? really? i have never owned a leader class that didnt disapoint me and end up on ebay or my trade list.
****end highly opinionated rant****

in almost every case i have preferred the voyager (for accuracy, transformation and gimmick-free) over the leader. and deluxe really seems to hit the mark, like the designers work harder to make them work.

i think ideally there needs to be at least three size classes for TFs to match up characters and display nicely. i would say my collection splits up something like,
60%deluxe,
20%scout
10%voyager
8%legends/other
2%leader

Leader Class ROTF Optimus Prime and Starscream say otherwise. They are neither clunky, nor gimmicky, nor do they have giant battery compartments and both have highly complex, detailed, transformations that is not effected by gimmicks.

It is very easy, just group side by side Movieverse TFs from different classes: Leader, Voyager, Deluxe, Scout and Legends ...

After a few minutes looking at them it is not difficult to notice how the visual quality and complexity of the toys drop exponentially. Seriously, you find better quality toys packed with a McDonald's Happy Meal than most Legends and Scouts. There are few exceptions I admit like Legends Ravage and Scout Insecticon, but that's it.

Anyway, it is a matter of personal taste. I find them too ugly to be displayed with the bigger movieverse toys. But if other people like them, no problems ...

Let me add another honorable item to my list of acceptable Scouts: Skystalker is also cool, but unfortunately it is impossible to get.

Sentence number 1 is blatantly not true.

Sentence number 2: Hey, guys, wanna hear about something cool? Yeah, it's awesome! It's called a toy! They're aimed towards kids so they can play with them, but other people can collect them for display. Did you know, that those Legends Class ones are so darn playable AND affordable?!
