Huh, something escaped the cameras of Seibertron.com during our 2011 Toy Fair coverage? That's right, ASMzine was able to get their hands on a couple of toys present at Hasbro's showcase last week. We've got looks at the biographies of Powerglide, Private Dedcliff with Sandstorm, and Autobot Roller, who will be included into the Autobot Ark playset. There's also a back packaging look at Ultimate Optimus Prime. Check it out below!
Human pilots have travelled thousands of miles just to study the moves POWERGLIDE exceutes in midair. His acrobatic aerial accomplishments impress all who see them - friend and enemy alike. His skill is the only thing that has kept him alive, since his light armor makes him a soft target for his DECEPTICON foes.

AUTOBOT ROLLER is the pilot of the mighty starship that at one time was the flagship of the AUTOBOT fleet. Together they protect the vast expanse of outer space from the DECEPTICON threat.

SANDSTORM was built to survive for extended periods in the harshest climates. Anything Earth can throw at him, he can endure and come out smiling. He requires the same fortitude from his human partner, Private Dedcliff, a special forces wilderness survival expert with years of experience. Together, they hunt DECEPTICONS in the most remote places on the planet.

I told you guys Roller would show up! I knew it! I hope he gets a MechTech version.
Powerglide is interesting...he appears to have an A-10 Warthog alt-mode. I hope he's in the cast.

Looks like Ultimate OP has succeeded Fort Max as the biggest Transformer ever! Can't wait to get him!

I'm glad to see Powerglide and Sandstorm have the appropriate bios to go with their classic names.
And in a way, Sandstorm is still a triple-changer. Size-wise a gun station probably makes more sense than a helicopter.

Ok, I know it's just a kids toy but I get really, really annoyed when details involving military personnel get horribly messed up and they screwed the pooch with "Private" Dedcliff. A Special Forces wilderness survival expert with years of experience...and he's a Private??? Dumbasses! Do your frigging homework Hasbro, my own kids are going to catch that screw up and call ya on it!
All right, that's out of my system. The rest of the stuff I'll leave alone as far as major criticism goes. I'm becoming more intrigued with the Ark and I'm getting the impression that Powerglide might be a little bit bigger than I was first expecting, which is cool. I'm assuming that this new 'Commander' class is akin to Scout size range which is not what I would ideally like to see Powerglide in but it beats Legends class

Powerglide and The Ark are must buys. So is Leader Class Ironhide, Sentinel Prime and Deluxe Class Barricade, but the rest suck ass.

Hmm, I wonder what Powerglide will look like next to the Classicsverse toys, looks close enough to me. I never got the one in the Universe line though I did get Stormcloud. It was ok but idk, maybe a bit too big for the character.

Glad to see we are finally getting a in scale powerglide. Never liked the ultra class too much. Nobody should be bigger than Prime. Maybe a 3rd party company might even make a G1 style head for him.
And Im curious how one dude thinks Optimus is bigger than Fortress Maximus ??? (I dont count wingspan as a factor) Did he miss out on the pic of Michael Bay holding the toy ???

That Powerglide must have been passed over from the RTS guys. Like they threw the movie guys a bone 'cause he is AWESOME!! RollEr is cool, Ark is cool. Still on the fence with Princess Fairymus Prime. I'll have to see it in person to make the call. But someone mentioned in a previous post that he is bigger than F.Max? How was this conclusion reached? IF he is, then I have to get him. Giant F%$*&^ Robots are just plain wonderful.

Powerglide is cool, but I'd rather him be a deluxe. Oh well. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy the Ark exclusively for Roller. Ultimate Prime is looking a little more satisfying. I want to see some size comparisons of him with ROTF Leader Prime.

It's the new name for Scout Class, as a part of the Cyberverse subline. (Legends is now "Legion" Class).

Actually they haven't messed up anything if you think about it, its a different war their fighting. His still a private because he is an infantry soldier for the autobots, just like sandstorm is.

Hmm the back of box pictures have finally tempted me to want ultimate prime. I didnt care for the legs in other photos I saw.
I do find it fitting he's come back to life so many times he finally grew angel wings.
I like powerglide and roller too but probably wont be able to afford them.

Another option might be that Pvt Dedcliff may have a habit of pushing things far enough to keep getting busted down in rank, yet not pushing far enough to get kicked out...

We don't know what organisation he's with either.
Could be that he's with some unknown or non-existent (in real life at least) organisation, and within that organisation perhaps ranks work differently?
There's no reason the ranks have to correspond with real-life ranks.

That is similar to the same alt mode he originally had.

I'm not sold on Prime yet. The trailer hanging off his back doesn't do anything for me. His regular botmode looks ok but he has more kibble than the ROTF Leader Prime, so unless he has something to make up for it he's a pass.

Nice. I don't normally like when movie-line figures look too much like their G1 namesake like Powerglide does here but I might get him anyways. Love how Ultimate Optimus looks on that box and I do want the Ark and Roller. After the initial lousy photos some months back the more I see of the Dark of the Moon toys the more they are becoming among my favorite TF toyline ever. Really impressed with a lot of them despite the mech tech whatever it's called that results in silly oversized weapons on alt modes.

Powerglide looks more like a Generations figure than a movie figure.

I thought playsets were dead, but they're back with a vengeance! Love the " Decepticon prison" - so old school.

Powerglide looks pretty good, wish there was a larger pic to see what his head looks like.
He'll look great standing next generations coneheads and seekers.
