Hot Rod enthusiast Protoman has uploaded a quick video review of the the display box that was part of the MP-09 Hong Kong edition. Interestingly the display box features a blacked out Hasbro logo. He also compares MP-09 with several other versions of Hot Rod. The video is embedded below.

They made something that big so that you could fit in Rodimus standing on his battle station. Did the reviewer somehow get a Hot Rod with no trailer, or did he conveniently forget about it just to try to help make his point?

I was wondering the same thing.
IIRC, Hasbro deals with distribution everywhere else but Japan, don't they? That would explain the Hasbro logo.

Anyways, I've noticed recently apart from the hasbro releases and Takara/Tomy releases, there is the Hong Kong release which appears to be Takara with Hasbro traits, how long has this been going on for, as there seems to be extras included, did this happen from MP1 or was it from black convy onwaards? basicaly anything after MP grimlock.

A message from me, to Hasbro HK:
Hey, Hasbro HK, I was just wondering, umm, where's that Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy reissue you promised? OVER A YEAR AGO!?
Sincerly, Cannonfodder4000.

That's completely uncalled for. Why don't you show some respect and keep comments like that to yourself and put more effort into commenting to the actual news story?

Do you know what you're right. Even if he does love rodimus a bit too much, I still appreciate the time he took to review the figure. And after I did feel like a bit of a d*k for the comment. On another note, all my comments are regarding the thread in question. I wish people when picking bones with my comments wouldn't be so selective and disregard the actual point of the thread. You say I should keep on topic, but you edit out the second aragraph which is on topic
