That looks quite nice, but sorry, too little, too late. I mean, Screamers first came out back in, what, '06? Followed by Skywarp and a great looking BotCon Thundercracker in '07? Then in '08 there was the awesome of Henkei Thundercracker, followed by that very decent quality KO figure of the same. It's now 2011. I'd wager the majority of TF fans out there that were looking to at least complete the trio of Seekers has done so by now. I know I have. And, par the course, the Generations (while nice) doesn't look quite as good to me as the Henkei version.

Then there are those who couldn't and wouldn't pay outrageous aftermarket prices, and thus waited for that one figure, how slim the chances may have been. I know I have ;)

And I just know that rant came from the fact you didn't wait, combined with the realisation you could have saved money if you did :P

Well good for you then. If you dig the Hasbro Generations paintjob on this guy and assumed they'd get around to the character eventually, it's great that you can complete the set. For the stragglers, I'm happy, don't get me wrong there. Considering I sniped my Henkei 'Cracker at auction for under the retail price of a retail figure, an 'outrageous aftermarket' price doesn't really apply to me, but I get what you're saying. However, BotCon prices are always high, and Henkei is (arguably) a better looking figure every time which I'd say is worth the price. If one doesn't drag their feet and pays upfront for what they want, inflated aftermarket prices aren't an issue. ;)

That was a rant? :???:  You should have seen me years back on the official TF movie site. THOSE were rants, THAT was a paragraph. But you're partly right. I didn't wait. Out of that I got a better figure at a lower price. And, honestly, if this new Generations fig had hit around the time of the BotCon and Henkei figures? I'd put him at the bottom of the three in level of looks.

But again, I'm happy for those still out there in need of trio completion! They just took too long and came with too little for my tastes. ;)

What a lot of folks are forgetting is that there are a number of us out there who are dependent on the regular store releases to get out 'fix' for our Transformer habit. With the economy being in the crapper and folks having to scale back expenses, a lot of times an occasional Deluxe class figure is considered a splurge. Those folks dissing on this belated Thundercracker need to realize this. Myself, due to afore mentioned circumstances plus a few other factors, I've had to put Transformers into my 'cash only' category of purchases. No ordering a figure online, no picking up an overpriced Henkei at the comic book/collector figure store, just straight-up standard release. So I'm freaking THRILLED to see this figure and snagging him will round out the 6 original seeker set I was never able to complete as a kid.

Funny thing was, when Acid Storm was released, I was gonna buy like three of him and get a buddy of mine to paint them as Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker. Unfortunately, I only got two, and me and my buddy never got the chance to paint them. So I'm kinda relieved that they're finally mass-producing Thundercracker and releasing him in regular retail. ;) I'm also a little pissed off for throwing an extra $10 out the window. :-x

Only thing I don't like is the blue chest fans. Other than that, looks great. I already have that wave on Preorder because I know it'll never get released in Canada... we don't even have RTS wave 1. I already have Henkei TC, but I might just put this guy on display if he ends up looking better with my other figures.

I think RTS figures won't be released in North Carolina. Haven't spotted a single one other than Cyclonus Vs. Rodimus. I gotta stop saying "Cyclonus Vs. Rodimus"... :BANG_HEAD:

The only two off the shelf transformers I bought last year were Dirge and Thrust. So its a good chance that this will be the only transformer I'll buy this year. :D To me almost everything else is worth waiting for the garage sales and markets in 10 years time.

Concur! I missed the botcon set and was having a hard time justifying spending so much on Ebay for it to complete the set. Now that it's comming out, mine will be complete. Your right though, nothing but complaining. But I would too if I spent the cash and this guy was comming out for under $13.00

The awesome henkai Thundercracker?! That thing was looser than a greased hinge joint! Floppier than a piece of paper, too.

I have just about given up on looking in stores. It's like they are coming. I preordered the Warpath case (yeah, I'm paying a good bit) from BBTS. I should have preordered the Voyager case with Grapple. I can't wait to get this in, though.
