Just received Jazz just today while Wreck-gar will be shipping in the next 20 days

Noticed some peculiarities amongst the sheer awesomeness.

Awesomeness

1.Great mold/homage to the G1 original
2.Paint apps 99% spot on
3.Quite detailed (his tire reams, which are now painted even shows the air inflation junction)
4.He is quite big.
5.Did I just say his face plate really looks good?
6.The double speakers from the G1 Episode Nightbird, another great homage ( IIRC, he also used it in car mode in another episode)
7.Excellent way of hiding his "weapon"/engine


Peculiarities

1.TF Animated rendering of his bio card
2.He looks like he just woke up in the wrong side of the CR chamber. Sure he's bad@ss but the Jazz I grew up with is a cheerful brother.
3.The painting of his copyright infringing "Martini" lacks the teal color stripes (they could reproduce it in Encore but not here?), okay I'm nit picking (That's the 1% paint apps I meant in the former)
4.No over head flame throwers?
5.No locking mechanism for his chest
6.This legs/thighs slouches/is somewhat loose


Edit: Additional thing I noticed, no light piping. (Nitpicking )

I have the RTS version so I have no way of comparing paint apps, but I do love it.

Overall, I think he's one of my favorites. I would dare to even call it MP Jazz.

The speakers were definitely a nice touch. It brought back some good memories of watching the G1 show.

It's on overall good figure, right? Those minor flaws shouldn't mean much.

For my money Jazz is the best figure we've had in the outstanding Generations/UN/RTS lines. (mini) Masterpiece Jazz he is!!

Overall, the figure we all have been waiting for for almost 25 years. (The Botcon repaint not counted).

It's just the minute peculiarities I noticed.

Good, as long as those minor flaws don't make you lack enjoyment of your figure, you're in great shape.

Correction on my part, aside from the bland Binaltech/Alternator Jazz ( I don't consider the Bayformer Jazz THE Jazzmeister, that's just my opinion btw)that is, this one IS the definitive modern Jazz.

Maybe TF club, iGear or FP or some 3rd party outfit could issue a chromed shoulder mounted flamethrower in the future.

Hmm. Well, I think the one thing that bugged me about the RTS Jazz mold was the lack of black paint on that front grille. Easy fix. .5 felt tip pen. That and a new Autobot logo sticker for a hood orniment and I was happy. Love RTS Jazz. Great toy. And I bet reprolabels.com will (if they haven't already) make a G1 sticker sheet for him.

The front grill is silver, just like the G1 version. Try a silver colored Gundam pen.
