Seriously, what is going on with them? Is distribution just that bad or are stores trying to coast into DOTM with outdated stuff keeping the pegs warm until then? I'm thinking it's the latter but i'm a conspiracy nut.

Please let them be put on HTS soon! PLEASE!

Well, it might me more or less DOTM related. My best theory is that they're making a very small amount of figures between now and DOTM so there isn't overstock when the movie craze rolls in again. A lot of guys that hate the movies that I know are enraged by this. I've heard a lot of them say "they need to stop making movie crap that no one wants and listen to the collectors" or "they'd sell more toys if they skip the movie line and just do classics".
Truth is, these movies are Hasbro's biggest asset. The classics aren't. Face it, the kids do buy some classics (they are toys), but they're not going out every week to buy one or two or ten; there's nothing big to advertise and throw in their faces. So Hasbro's making a skimpy line to somewhat fill a void and it seems they are really trying to stretch it out with only a few toys. First, they're gradually going to give us deluxes, then they'll gradually add a few voyagers, then a few legends and a few scouts. Maybe some G1 fans won't like it, but the stores might. The classics just don't sell as much as the movie stuff. We will get the voyagers, but just not this second. Relax, they're on their way.

I'm not really irked about the movie lines overshadowing the collector lines. As you said, the movies are their biggest asset, so it only makes sense for it to happen that way.

I'm more irked over the fact that there has only been a grand total of two sightings of the newer Voyagers as a whole, implying a distribution issue. I've been reading around the forums here and seeing most places are restocking with earlier waves of Gen/RTS and even later waves of HFTD, inspiring my "coast into DOTM" conspiracy theory.

It might just be impatience on my part. For the record I don't even care about the G1 characters, I just really want a (GLORIOUS) Lugnut and can't afford to get him off BBTS.

I too sense conspiracy. I also theorize that all this "poor distribution" is due to prep for the DOTM toys. I've been waiting for the new voyager line for a while now. I have about given up, but a friend said he saw Jazz, Tracks, and Wheeljack at our local Walmart so I'm going to hope that maybe Grapple and Lugnut will be there. Fingers crossed.....

Or it could just be a matter of impatience...give it a few more weeks and if they're still nowhere to be found, resume rant. Sure, there is some concern considering they're end of line figures, but they've also just recently showed up at the online stores which are typically ahead of retail.

Click the New Posts button, and you'll see that they were sighted today. And so begins the hunt.

HftD Voyagers like Highbrow and The Fallen were hard to find for me. I only saw both of them once. It makes me scared for Lugnut and Grapple.

Highbrow was hard to find. I was lucky when I got him because I worked at KMart before I got my job with Apple. And when I broke open the case pack, there was two voyager Prime's one purple Fallen, and one Highbrow.

We did get another case and it had the same 4 voyagers, each time one Highbrow. I have never seen anymore anywhere.

As for this voyager set, I got UN Grapple and Lugnut, so if I see a RTS Grapple or Lugnut I will get them for safe keeping.

K-Mart was the only place I had seen Highbrow, several times. I saw him once, months later, at a Pittsburgh Wal-Mart, and that was it.

Well, the voyagers are coming, but they might not make too many of them. Many stores in my area are in a pickle with wave 1 of HFTD and wave 5 of Generations big time, and I can imagine other areas are experiencing the same problem. So I'm sure these stores are afraid to keep ordering and ordering when they have a huge movie line coming and a bunch of old stuff on the shelves. Which is why pretty much everything we've seen from RtS so far might end up being the whole line. But they will come soon. You just have to be patient, as do I with my RtS Bumblebee and G2 Optimus.

yeah Hasbro has my toys shipping within a week anyway, so I guess this will be the last ho rah before the release of the new movie and movie toys

Yeah, it's bloody impossible to get anything of any value locally over here. The vast majority of my purchases these days are done online.

Gone are the days when you could just get on a bus into town and pick up a fist full of TF's at Woolworth's for peanuts. Happy days!

I visited my closest Wal*mart yesterday morning. Not much too speak of there. They had some of the HFTD line and thats about it. A bunch of the deluxes, voyager Seaspray and Payload, and 1 Leader hooks OP. The HFTD line interested me exactly 0% therefore, I was greatly disappointed. I haven't seen anything even remotely new in a while around here.
