In these pictures he looks like a legends class figure.
I don't really like that when it's a deluxe sized figure.
And he looks to much like the rotf version. Man I hate getting 2 or more versions of the same character, but I sometimes get them anyway.
Hope he gets a bit more personality in the movie.

He sucks ass how boring can you get im more than happy with my ROTF Sideswipe even the car looks dull and that weopon jesus, It's a lump of grey plastic i hope its silver when it comes out for those who will buy him/it.

So he goes from a silver paint job to that annoying grey that Hasbro keeps trying to pass off as silver ??? I understand small parts being grey to cut costs, but the whole figure ??? It looks like a damn prototype.

Another TF off my want list for DOTM, by the way while we are on the subject of Sideswipes, the ROTF Sideswipes can be reconfigured to look like G1 Streaks a.k.a. Silverstreak, Bluestreak, Blackstreak, but if you want to do this you need Strike Misson SS, normal SS, Hunters Rumble SS, okay you got that, now for the instructions.

First have your SS standing up
Then extend his “wings” as if you were going to transform him to car mode
So are the “wings” sticking out his back? If so good work
Then take the “wings” and split them across so it looks like two massive wings on his back
Now flip them up and turn them so that the hood parts are facing you
Now use the second joint on the “wings” and turn them down so it looks like the “wings” are in proportion to his body and very Streak like.

I know they had to make them a bit smaller to make up for the size of the giant weapons but this guy looks terrible. The first Sideswipe, for all his flaws, from RoTF looks so much better.

Wow, this line really is being targeted more towards kids, huh? This looks to be a very simplistic transformation, coupled with the gray plastic instead of silver paint, it def. seems to be aimed more towards kids.

Might have to skip some of these, which may not be a bad thing, cost-wise.

I'm still clinging on the hope that before these are released in North America they will get huge makeovers because as someone said in a post above they look like prototypes. Same with DOTM Starscream and so far this is the only Starscream figure I've even had to debate on if I even want to get it. Let's hope Hasbro decides to make them more visually appealing before they are released here.

Apologies, but that's GOT to be a Legends or perhaps even a Scout class figure. NO WAY that could be a Deluxe. SAY it ain't so!

With the lack of paint apps, simple joints for articulation, and by how many transformation lines there are on his vehicle mode he looks like either a Legends or one of those Cyberverse figures.

I'm seriously hoping that's not a deluxe, while he does have better looking blades and they removed those dumb pistons gimmick on his thighs, he is an incredibly dull figure with little articulation.

Please be a prototype image, please.

LOL...whether this is the actual figure or the proto it looks like a happy meal toy!

Maybe they're doing this because they already have a "premium" line planned...

I have to agree. The mold looks pretty solid but the use of the gray plastic makes the figure look extremely cheap.

it's a deluxe, we're all just going to have to deal with it.

the best deluxe sideswipe yet has to be takaras sidearm sideswipe.

man this figure is really really bland, ROTF sideswipe great figure, sidearm sideswipe great figure this one not so much. Looks like a KO not a real hasbro one. Its a pass for me.

Finally...
a Sideswipe that isn't a kibbleformer and has what appears to be a sturdy alt mode.

It just looks so......plain.

Amen to that.

Even if Hasbro won't be doing it, I hope Takara, with their massive adult collector market, might spare a thought for us grownups and at the very least make a decent leader class OP with a trailer. I mean, they did give us Buster Prime, so there's always hope, right?

I don't even care if it's just a slight retool of the ROTF mold with a trailer added; ROTF OP was as near perfect as it was going to get, anyways.

As for DOTM Sideswipe, I am thoroughly disappointed. Looks like a legends class fig to me. And that cheap gray plastic....

Gosh, pretty slim pickings so far. Sentinel Prime's a confirmed buy, and I might get DOTM voyager Megs and Shockwave to display with ROTF Voyager SS, and the two Wreckers.

If my wallet had a face, it would be smiling smugly for the rest of the week.
