i got him a few years back unmodified (no orange plug) when he first came out. but by and large he is my favorite mp figure of them all and near the top in my collection.
youve got every right to be excited.to me hes near perfect.

Man my wife was pissed when I got mine "way back when". bought him and the upgrade package together. Unfortunately mine was one of the many that had to have the orange tip put in. But the kool thing was it wasn't glued in. I popped the plug right off (giggity).

MP Megs is my favorite of the series and the only Megatron I have in my collection. Other than the Beast Wars Megatron, I haven't seen one that I have cared for since the G1 Megarton. I don't have enough cash for him, though.

I've got him preordered from BBTS. I hear it's a pain to transform, but it's probably the most true-to-animation-model representation of G1 Megatron.

He's a bit fragile, broke mine on first transformation so be careful.

He is kind of a butt to transform, but he is still oh so sweet. I have him in alt mode right now, myyself. I plan on using him in the St. Paddy's Day parade when I march with the 501st just to see if anyone even notices....

For anyone with experience on these preorders, I realize there is always potential for delays buy for the most part do they come in and get shipped out in a fairly timely manner. Since it says March 2011 will it most like be at least toward the end of the month if there are no delays or is it one of those things that could be "any day now"?

Given that Megatron and Prime-Final were both announced together, and that Prime-Final is officially released on March 26 in Japan (according to the calendar on the front of the TFwiki site), I should think that they're coming out together on that date. But I've never actually seen a release date for Megatron.

Getting toward the end of March. I have to admit, I can't wait for this bad boy to come in!! I'm getting antsy and checking my email several times a day waiting for that magic notice they he has arrived!!LOL
