What part of Charleston are you from?

I lived in Charleston for about 22 years until I moved to Raleigh. I was in downtown Charleston a few weeks ago to visit family and picked up G2 Prime, Wreck Gar and a a whole boat load of TF's out in North Charleston and Summerville that Raleigh did not have.

I live out in the summerville area. We've been really lucky around here and don't seem to be affected by the "drought". Haven't seen any voyager or scout RTS stuff yet.

Your right downtwon. I used to work at the Citadel computer lab a very long time ago. One of my freinds who worked with me went to CofC back in the late 90's and he graduated in 2000. My sister went there too, she graduated form CofC in '89.

I lived right near Hampton Park for years until I moved to Raleigh.

The one thing I like about Charleston is because we are port city, we tend to get things faster, and gas is cheaper in charleston too. I wish I didn't live so far because I would drive to Chucktown to get gas.

I usually shop in North Charleston for toys, West Asheley sucks and the TRU closed there back in 2005 or 2006 right after I moved back to Raleigh the second time.

When I was there a few weeks ago I stayed at a best western off 17-A. The Wally world across from the hotel sucked but the Target down the street was boat loads of awesome. The Walmart on Rivers Ave by Northwoods is pretty good too. The one near Montague seems to suck at times still.

There is a local comic shop that has some sweet G1 transformers in west ashley, but i live right in the peninsula. so do you live in raleigh now or do you live near chucktown? I've been wanting to meet up with some trans fans down in SC but haven't had any luck finding any. The Wal-mart that I went to in north charleston has the rodimus/cyclonus packs in right now and tht is really it. i need to pick that up but i haven't ventured off into any other stores lately other then that wal-mart and local comic shop in W.A.

That comic shop, is it on Sam Rittenberg Blvd? It used to be Captain Lou's and right before I moved to Raleigh, he used to sell Japanese Beast Wars toys like BWII and BW NEo for a minute. I cleaned him out of every one of those figures. I knew Lou personally because I shopped there to buy Gundam Magazines and Gundam Model kits waay back in 1995 until I moved. I heard he sold it to someone else. They used to have a closed glass case with G1 and botcon stuff in there.

Back when I moved to Charleston between '04 and '06, I remember the Rivers Ave Wally world had the classics out early. I didn't see them in Raleigh until September of '06. I already had them by the time I moved to Raleigh.

I live in Raleigh right now, which is about 300 miles from Chuck. We drive fast so we get there in 3.25 hours. If I stop in I will PM you and who ever else and we could meet in Summerville since I stay out at the hotels when I visit. my wife does not like staying downtown because it has gotten rougher and I am not the kid I used to be.

Next time your in town on a weekend you should check out the Ladson flea market. There's a booth inside that sells toys. Last time I was there he had most of a G1 Devastator, quite a few G1 Dinobots, I think I remember a G1 jazz and some other odds and ends there too.

It's no where as good as the NC Fairgrounds flea market. I used to sell at the Ladson flea market in 2006 for a few months of getting rid of my extras.
