It looks like the 2007 Landmine repaint that we've been seeing lately is actually going to be part of a Wal-Mart Exclusive two-pack. Images have surfaced on HK-TF that show the figure packaged with a ROTF Battleblades Optimus Prime repaint. This Optimus Prime Repaint appears to use the Takara mold featuring hooks rather that blades, with an open face plate and odd "spacey" deco. The image of the packaged figures is small and blurry, but one can make out the Wal-Mart sticker in the lower right corner. The packaging also reveals the name of the 2007 Landmine repaint as Comettor.

The Landmine repaint looks cool, but what the heck is up with the Optimus Prime repaint? Gives a whole new meaning to "star convoy".

That Prime HAS to be fake. Either a knock-off or some one just took a battle hooks Optimus and put space stickers on it. I know Hasbro can make some dumb decisions sometimes but this is just.... I dunno. Some one lost a bet or something at the Hasbro offices, or their daughter designed it.

Why does Optimus have those cheesy stars all over him? It looks so weird.

I was hoping for a BB Optimus repaint with the sculpted mouth and hooks, but wtf seriously.

Seriously, I never thought I would see a Prime that would make me want to pick up 2 of the G2 Lazer Prime (yeah, I called it G2, deal with it) instead of a movie version but this one is just...omg...

Can anyone confirm or deny that the Landmine repaint is exclusive to just this set? I want the Landmine but I'll kiss a petro-rabbits shiny metal butt before I shell out good money for that Psychotropic Prime toy. I don't care which figure they package him with, that's just one messed up toy.

yeah im gonna pass and just stick with my hasbro battle blades prime and original landmine

I'm a little surprised by the response here. Sure the stars are a little funky, but it's a good mold, we got a new headsculpt and we got the hooks from the Takara version. And besides, it's not like you couldn't just remove the stars if you wanted too. If you really get two great molds for the price of one Voyager this 2-pack would definitely be worth it and I for one will definitely pick it up. Then again, this is assuming we get it over here.

I thought Landmine was supposed to be a Target exclusive. As for the My Little Bayformer...............

Actually, I'm more surprised this is only the 2nd use of the mold.

At first I thought you meant Peter Cullen, and got totally lost at the sparkles part.

should have painted him pink and pastel blue... at least get some constistancy in the concept! with the stars and everything...then i might have get it

At first I was like BBOP repaint? Awesome, I never got that mold! Odd spacey deco? Awesome, it'll give it its own flavor! And it's coming with that cool Landmine repaint which we're just now learning is called Comettor? Awesome, I lost that mold, and I found its colors boring anyway!

Then I saw the pictures. For Primus' sake, Hasbro! You guys are right, this does look like a fake. But we're not that lucky.

If they were going with a space theme, good job on Comettor. Prime, not so much. I mean, the stars I can tolerate, but it's the reuse of the flame patterns I can't stand. Lazy, Hasbro, Lazy. Then again, Walmart exclusives have been lazy for the most part in the past. And I am a fan of astronomy... crap.
