You know, that art doesn't look too... I don't know, impressive? It's not really a real action pose, doesn't it?

Please, please let his story involve him turning purple as the result of powering up from a mysterious new energy source: Proton Pills.
And when they couldn't come up with a different name for the Thunderclash that came with TRU Armada Ramjet, am I the only one who just renamed him "Roger"?
I hope this toy doesn't quickly become scarcer than their other exclusives because everyone wants a second one to kitbash into Classics Slipstream; get a KO with the Starscream head and go to work on it instead.

Do we know when we'll see this available to order?

I am so going to order this once the preorder is up.
I had a ton of the G2 figures when I was little, but for some reason this one is the most memorable. The fact that they made it is almost too much excitement to handle.

I'm no fan of G2, but it looks pretty good to me!

By the way, Happy John 3:16 Day!
If you do not understand, PM me and I will explain.

Want.
And I hope the preorders come soon so I can justify spending the money now rather than later this summer when I'm in grad school...

So, this is a 'classics' G2 Ramjet, why couldn't we have a true G2 reissue? I think I would have preferred that.

That art looks at little chunky for me to get off on.

I'm guessing that you're aware that G2 Ramjet is actually just G1 Ramjet in this color scheme? You really think that they're going to reissue a G1 mold (in all of its kibble glory) in 2011 for a fan exclusive? Never mind that
most people, including my quasi-G1-purist self, realizes that this is a much superior toy, particularly these days.

http://www.tfu.info/1993/Decepticon/Ramjet/ramjet.htmIronically, the G1 figure of Ramjet had the torpedo missiles, which is why the Classics version does as well. The G2 version had the 'new' launcher guns like Starscream. It also had a cheap soundpack, which would be frackin' hilarious if FP would make one of those as well.

Guess not. However, I do tend prefer imagination over articulation any day.

Holy phallic undertones!
To be honest, I've OD'd on the classics seeker. It was fun for a while, but redundancy kills desire.

I grew up with G2 as apposed to G1, and even that was only on my brother's VHS recordings, so it makes me feel pretty nostalgic for all the toys advertised with that show. Though the recent release of RTS G2 Prime sucked pretty hard, I'm still happy I have it because of my old G2 episodes.

Looks very nice. Honestly though, I wish they would just send em in bubble plastic. My closet is getting full of expensive boxes.

Nothing worse than a repaint that's not a new character.
It looks good, but why couldn't they call it Slipstream and give us a new G1/G2 Seeker. I'm a huge G2 fan but the only thing I disliked about G2 was that Sideswipe and the Seekers sported significantly different colours to their G1 counterparts but were still meant to be the same characters.
Ah well, I'll just continue to call my G2 Ramjet, Slipstream.
On a side note, why do most fans dismiss the G1 Seeker mold? I know it lacks articulation and I'm not a fan of the visor look but the jet mode is great, a lot better than the Classics molds' jet mode. It still holds up well 27 years later.

I actually prefer the G1 Seeker mold over-all. The robot mode has "cool" written all over it. Articulation is nice, but to be honest - as a kid I didn't even notice - if the alt-mode was nifty and the robot looked cool and could move his arms, that was generally enough (lack of arm movement is one reason that I'm not a big fan of G1 Tracks).
I kinda wish I hadn't sold a lot of my "classics" figures, as it would have given me an excuse to buy a lot of the more recent figures, but I can't afford to start playing catch-up now.

It's the sheer number of loose parts in either mode which cannot be stowed. The arms are the worst culprit, with them getting lost so easily and so often. The classics mold really is a vast improvement over the original's design.

The hands are the only part of the figure you can't put somewhere else. If you want to lose accessories, try the Dinobots or most of the 1984 Autobots.

The landing gear too, don't forget. And having HAD most of the Autobot cars and the Dinobots, they weren't nearly as bad. IT's one thing to lose, say, Jazz's gun. It's another to lose Starscream's freakin' ARMS.

The landing gear goes in the cockpit. If you've also got the bombs (and no box) you can put the bombs inside instead. Having owned the original seeker mold some 14 or so times, I can't say I've ever had a problem with losing accessories.
Fun note on G1 Seekers - removable "wheel" flints for lighters are usually the right size and length if you've lost your landing gear.

definitely agree that the G1 Seekers' hands being removed and not stored in their alt modes was a problem. I really like the Classics Seeker body, a lot more than the original, but yeah, the G1 alt-mode was okay. Still, very unlikely that this was going to be a reissue of G1 Ramjet in his G2 colours.
Anyone that wants to call this Slipstream, go right ahead.
