Is there a Permanent fix for Classics Deluxe Prime´s swinging chest

Recently i´ve grown, EXTREMELY tired of Prime´s swinging function, i rarely use the button and i just keep it tucked out(seemingly locking the function)but his chest still manages to sway to the sides even and to be honest it makes him annoying as f*** to play with or pose. :BANG_HEAD:

Is there any way to disassemble the figure and manually remove the mechanism or should i just inject lots of super glue into the chest?

For those not familiar with the figure here's a picture of the pack he came in.

Pull the black tab on his back out.

There's a tab on the back you pull out to lock it in place and stop it from swinging. If you can't figure it out, I'm sure they'd show it in a video review.

Pulling it out till you hear a click does lock it, but there will always be wiggle room in the mechanism so it doesn't jam or excessive force isn't needed, keeping the risk of breaking it to a minimum.

I don't get it? I didn't care or pick up that set myself but is it anything like the animated Prime and Megatron set where they have this upper chest swing/swivel and it's like a punch motion? If so then I think it's cool for posability reasons and those figs hold that position nicely. Sorry to hear that it bugs you dude but no problems here....if that is the case! :CON:

It's not like those Rock'em-Sock'em robots. The Deluxe Classics Prime's chest spins in a full circle when you press the black tab in his back.

I already know about how to pull the black pin until it clicks to keep the black pin locked. but the point is that the torso is still loose. I want to keep his torso solid with NO swinging at all.

As I explained before, that's not really possible. Better bust out the super-glue.

Yup! Better yet, just scrap the crappy deluxe Prime and go with the Takara Voyager Prime.

When the tab is pulled, it becomes a ratchet joint. Its not completely solid, but at least on mine, its not like its still swinging around its pretty tight.

Make sure you pull the tab [b]all[b] the way back. It will have some give, but the ratchet will keep the positions for the most part. It should not flop around. Heck it shouldn't move too much.

And if that doesn't make you happy, shove a piece of folded card or plastic in between the two halves. That way you can remove it if you change your mind. I did that before I discovered the black locking mechanism.

Easy for you to say, I'm struggling to find one for cheap!

I dont know if read the topic thoroughly through but i know how to operate the black pin. But the point is that still has a slight floppyness when in the [b]"locked mode"....im trying to keep him from being floppy at all times.

You haven't read your own topic thoroughly? 8-}

Before I discovered the black locking mechanism I shoved a piece of folded card or plastic in between the two halves. The top half can still pivot for posing but doesn't flop.

I read the topic, I'm implying you haven't pulled the tab back enough, not that you don't know how to operate it.

You need to use a bit of force. Once its properly locked it will not move. It becomes a ratcheting joint you can use to pose him. If its not properly locking, then either its broken, or not pulled back enough.

Either way, the movement you get once its locked is not enough to be considered flopping at least not in my book.

Yeah, mine's not floppy at all with the tab pulled back all the way. If you really have that tab pulled back and it's still floppy it's probably worn or damaged or defective.

MAybe he's complaining that you can wobble it side to side a bit even when it's locked (within one ratchet point).

I thought the real problem with this toy was that, setting magic aside, the thing is a useless ugly piece of crap and nothing on Earth can fix that (remember, I set magic aside...).

I happen to like him, thank you. Plus, I'm eyeing his *shiny* United edition. Shiny... :HALUC:

I like his bot mode, but his alt mode is donkey sheet. Then again, THS-02's alt mode is donkey sheet, too, yet people still touch themselves inappropriately over that fig...

I too like the deluxe bot mode but disagree about THS-02. His alt mode is decent if you take the time to line everything up properly.

Pull out the back tab until you head a click.
