Hey Guys

I'm deciding to pull the trigger on LC Screamer before the DOTM figures hit, but i wanted some input on this guy and how does he stack up against LC Prime and Megatron from the same line? as well the pros and cons about his bot mode and alt mode. Any help about LC would be great since this will be the last LC figure I get.

All feedback welcomed.

Current LC figures i have is LC Prime with Blades and Shadow Cmd Megatron.

He's a nice figure...much better than Megatron. He's in the conversation with Prime, but I still like Prime better.

The only real con I can think of is he looks like movie Starscream, which isn't terrible, but it's not really a pro. Well, actually his hands could be better....better than the other movie Starscream figs, but still lacking. Otherwise he looks pretty accurate and has a fun transformation.

**Forgot another con because I corrected the problem so long ago...his sound gimmick is absolutely terrible. Take out the batteries asap.

Buy him before he disappears from the shelves once DOTM hits.

From reviews I seen, he's great to use next to Prime and Megs. I was gone from Transformers when LC Starscream came out so I lost my chance, and he's not in my stores anymore. It really sucks but I don't care, I'm all for the DOTM line now.

He has a transformation that is pure genius - everything fits together easily and perfectly. It's complicated enough to keep people like me interested but not insanely difficult.

Looks great in both modes.

The only thing that killed the figure for me was the monkey arms and I was hacking his wrists off and adding ball joints within an hour of opening him.

He makes Leader Megatron look like a pile of crap. Oh wait, L Megatron IS a pile of crap.

You spoke of adding ball joints to his wrists, how did you do that?

Buy him. I have him next to Leader Prime on the shelf. They look fantastic. I have trouble deciding which mode to display SS in, because both look so good.

Go get him if you can find one. He is great except the monkey arm (shame on Hasbro, even the Activator one for little kid has rotatable wrist). He is kind of top heavy but can still pose well.

Thanks so much for posting this!

Interestingly I just took him out to transform back and forth as revision. I really like the transformation process... it seems like just real transforming. No messing about, fiddling, labouring to get pieces in place, and even worse, CHEAT transformations like MP Rodimus or to a lesser extent, ROTF Jetfire.

My ONLY disappointment are the wrists. It couldn't have been too difficult to add simple rotation. Wrists make a huge difference in adding to the various poses I can achieve. He's not that back heavy, and he can certainly pose a hell of a lot more stably than DOTM Sentinel Prime. Indeed it seems these days that many TF toys don't take into account the fact that many people want more than a transforming brick that can be posed in one static standing position only. I know waist articulation (a HUGE plus for me) is always a bonus, but when even HEADS can't turn (like DOTM Sentinel Prime) than something is seriously lacking.

Leader Starscream is one of the best movie-based figures ever made. Both modes are excellent. Definitely get him. He looks great with Leader Prime.

Yeah, as I said before, his wrists totally spoiled him for me. The pics in the gallery just look ridiculous to me. If you have the skills to add ball joints in the fingers and thumbs as well you'll love him to bits!

But why is MP Rod a cheat?
