Help! ROTF legends Hightower is broken :(

Hi all, I'm not sure where to put this, so I figured the main forum was the best place. Mods, feel free to move it if you need.

Here's the situation: my 3 year old got hold of my legends class Hightower, and a part of it broke. It looks like a stress fracture. I've attempted an amateur fix, but it didn't go so well. Here are the pics:

Sorry for the lousy picture quality, it's a bit hard to get a picture of because it's so small. Anyway, I wonder if a fix is even possible or feasible, or if I should bite the bullet and get a single pack japanese version for a replacement.

I see two options that don't involve buying another:

1) call it battle damage and leave it
2) drill 1mm holes (yes, you can buy 1mm drill bits but most likely not from a local shop) in either piece so the holes line up when the pieces are put together. Strip the rubber tube from a Transformers twisty tie to expose the wire. Push the wire into the holes and glue it all together with epoxy resin. Make sure the resin is deep in the holes. It probably won't withstand much handling but gentle transformations may be possible.

Like Mykltron, maybe you can make it a battle damage Hightower :D

Relax, relax, relax. If you can, you should get either a replacement leg or a replacement Hightower.

Now you can attempt to fix it like Mykltron said, but I'm just pitching. If a transformer of mine broke like that, I'd attempt to fix it with either superglue, drilling, or buying another off of eBay. The choice is yours.

I get the feeling superglue won't work on this. Some plastics just doesn't accept superglue.
