Why, why must they never give Prime a black gun?

I really want this, this looks epic...

Man, I wish I could have him.
I've wanted him since 2004.

So what hints does the base give for the next MP figure? Don't leave us hanging

Mach said the base has 16 phrases from the G1 cartoon but no hint of the next MP. JelZe thinks it's more likely with the mailaway sound base for Rodimus Prime.

would have been awesome also if Hasbro takes this mold and stand add Peter Cullen voice chips . it would have been even better if the 16 voice clips were both Japanese and American voice actors. 8 for each of them. hmmmm anyone considered or thought of an idea to put the voice chip off the Movie Helmet to the stand....... ?LOL

you do realize if hasbro version is made there would be no smoke stacks it would look box with wheels smoekstacks would be cut off for what reason gijoe figures are more dangerous than prime smoe stacks alone being the proper height & not cut down to size.

Oh I'm so getting this. A few months ago I was about to buy the old MP-01 but when I heard that a "Last Shot" version was on its way I decided to wait. And i'm not disappointed! The base looks great and the tiny fixes are welcome.
I'm relieved they didn't get rid of the diecast parts. Surely paint chipping is a pain but metal is what makes this figure a Masterpiece !

Ok so it's the last time but how many times have they released this overrated figure by now? I had the 20th Anniversary Hasbro one and it was garbage. Horribly top heavy with weak joints (and one of his legs kept coming off all the time) and to be honest he just doesn't even look that good. Ok, fine if you want a G1 cartoon Optimus Prime robot but why even bother with the truck mode that doesn't really look much like a truck at all particularly from the side which is just a total failure. Was glad I got my refund from Toys R Us on the G1 Prime. It's ridiculous that they still can't pull off a convincing truck mode when they managed the far more complex movie Prime looking superb and accurate in both robot and truck modes in the RotF Leader Class line. It makes no sense.

Overrated? it's one of the best damned TF figures ever made! He looks like Prime basically stepping off the screen, has insane articulation, and I've never had a problem with him being top-heavy.

No real changes outside of the "Last Shot" stamped on his back panel. They supposedly, as you mentioned, improved the chest/windshield alignment and the sliding mechanism in the legs. That's about it.
